Here is the link to the viewing days of the auctions.

To avoid confusion for the users / bidders, we only post the special URL for the viewing days on the forum.

On Thursdays at 24:00 the viewing days close and the auctions can be viewed via the normal link .

We do this mainly at the request of the folks who check the lot lists and provide us with highly appreciated comments. Now there is a little more time for this.

I have the impression that this great initiative has already come a long way.

We are not yet able to have all parcel lists structurally ready on Monday Especially with the theme auctions it takes more time than expected.

All upcoming auctions have now been published. Since almost everyone will be in front of the TV next Wednesday, we have decided not to run an auction.

Too bad, the football haters also had a nice evening.

I wonder who will place the starting bid for lot 149, the Jacob's drawing, from the original auction. (:-)

I stick to lot 2 with a very nice Jacobs. I personally preferred to place everything @ 1 €. @ Rik there is a lot of beautiful things in the Herge auction that would not look out of place in your collection ;-)

Beautiful items with those originals !! Hats off! Only, you know that I am a Hermann fan .......... there is certainly not 5 (FIVE) beautiful items in between. (drive me crazy, get me wet!). How am I going to tell this at home, I was able to buy something for my collection in recent auctions (2x even). Couldn't you have spread that out a bit? Can only buy 5 Hermann originals on 1 night. Have a normal civil servant's salary and have a house, trees and cats at home. Of those 5, there are no fewer than 4 that I would love to have.

Are you not a bit afraid that there will be an "overkill"? If you do not want to detract from the items on offer, let that be clear; they are candies !!

Too bad that the linked catalog items in the French version are still full of Dutch terms.

I see the auctions start on Friday, but when will they end?

The viewing days have indeed started for 4 comics auctions this time.

All 4 will open for bidding on Friday

The auction ends on Monday 22 October with many Comics related lots.
The normal comic auction ends on Wednesday 24 October.

Monday 29 October the Originals Auction ends
Wednesday 31 October, the Hergé auction ends.

The last 2 theme auctions are also being promoted in France and other French-speaking countries (including Switzerland and Canada). Hence the choice between NL and French, at the top right of the lot lists. That is partly the reason that these auctions are open for bids for a week longer.

Both lists certainly contain special items and we are very curious how these auctions will go.

The lists start to contain items that you only see at large international auction houses.

What a top lot, hopefully Catawiki will be able to reach many collectors across the borders of the Benelux with this.

I also find it very relaxed that I did not have to translate all the lots I submitted myself, but that Catawiki had appointed someone for it.

It is a pity that the linked catalog items in the French version are still full of Dutch terms.

There is, among other things, an error when retrieving the French translations in the database. Still under construction.

It's not just that. The Drawings section also contains standard terms that have simply not been translated.

3120167
Objet d'art: Drawings
Themes: Self-portrait André Franquin

3101075
Titre: Original monde page Ythaq-inconnu (= another insane automatic translation)
Objet d'art: Comic pages and strips
Technique d'impression: Inks

And yet it is a shame that slowly the collector with the small wallet can no longer buy anything here, because the minimum prices are often over 100 euros! And then also without the auction costs included

I fear with great fear for my wallet at the auction of the comics. Unfortunately, there are several lots in it that I find very interesting.

Of course the intention is to collect as much money as possible, because CataWiki is also better off and the translators and / or programmers can pay for it. to become. So in that respect the saying of the famous football player applies again: Every disadvantage has its advantage. And in that context I hope that the auction revenues will be very high again.

I will also have a look in my collection to see what I can contribute, because it all looks very nice! (and then I also have more income to spend;))

To lot 56 of the book auction as I think, apart from the not very beautiful Dutch, to be titled "lot with 5 different scout books", a bit optimistic. It is true that all five books are about "youth and camping", but there are only two books that are worthy of the scouting book, namely "The jolige duinpan" and "The bivouac of the rattlesnake".

Dan has lot 4 almost even more right to that qualification, because that series was published by publisher de Verkenner and the National Headquarters of the Dutch Scouts. :-)

Lot 47 of the Book Auction . I understand that there is little that can be done about that name written in pen, but whether it is wise to keep that price in pencil as well? :-)

Many collectors of antique books / comics will leave it. If you are going to erase there is a danger that it will become uglier than originally (ugly place). I prefer to stay away from pencil prices, stickers and tape (shame and shame ...)

Popokabaka also noticed the Hergé auction and he analyzes the last lot with his usual vicious humor ;-)
