Epiphany! Yes I had forgotten that for a while. I think it is still celebrated in North Brabant, because the Catholic faith was originally very strong there.

The fact that the fèves have hardly ever seen a cake, that may be true! Many of these figures are simply bought by collectors. This can also be read in my explanatory link.

I have item 3431509 so just changed into the right object with the right series and types. Furthermore, I think that the Main Sequence Feves in Statues and Miniatures can also be removed from the catalog if all those Smurfs have been rearranged. Now they are there alone and I think they are just like item 3431509 should be classified. That's a tricky project, but administrators might be able to do it faster.

Very late, but it has to be said! ;) The contributors of lots 8 and 61 could have done a little more effort with the CataWiki Catalog. Lot 8 is a nice item and that slipcase is not in the catalog, while it should be the first image! Or is it a different item and then it must be entered as a new item. The contributor of lot 61 himself says that it is a different item, and yet he and the auctioneer just leave it alone! I also think that the contributor could have provided somewhat clearer photos. Does he want to sell it? I only see small images and therefore cannot read water condition. Does this person have the item?

It was about the comic auction on Monday, February 18. Like I said, it's too late, but let people learn from it or learn from it. I had put the date in the message, but I am writing this message with an iPad. When I went to another tab and came back, my text was gone and I had to type it again. The date has escaped me for a while. Furthermore, with an iPad I cannot manage to copy or post links. While I'm at it, I also have a number of comments at the toy auction on Wednesday 20 February. Firstly, the comment that at least 3 lots have the link to any CataWiki item is missing. These are lots 22, 23 and 25. Lot 22 contains a lot of Lego (Fabuland) which I think is not yet in the Catalog, lot 23 contains many wooden toys of which at least the vehicles can be imported or linked and lot 25 is another case of Playmobile that has been discussed before. At the very least, the pirate ship can be linked, right? Even if the box is not included? Furthermore, I think that if it concerns a large lot, then at least some items can be linked and the CataWiki developer team cannot even do anything about the proper posting of messages entered. with an iPad?

I also have a question about lot 36 of the same toy auction, the Mickey Mouse library of card games. Travel there linked with the black version, while a blue box is shown. Furthermore, image 3 is a picture of the version with the yellow box. I created the blue version on CataWiki, http://www.catawiki.nl/catalogus/spellen/alegener-games/mickey-mouse-library-of-games/3514763-mickey-mouse-library-of-games-blauwe version in case it is indeed a different version. How about that and if it concerns the blue version, does the auctioneer still want to adjust that link? And lot 27, large collection of Trix parts, is the item linked to that good? I think it comes from a construction set, but I don't think we have one in there yet.

And I also saw that for lot 78, 100 and 110 v / d [book auction - Moderator] only a few volumes had been entered in the Catalog, while the entire series is being offered. I found it annoying that they do not link all items, but I understand with a large amount, but at least complete the CataWiki Catalog with all parts! They are all offered, but not all are in the Catalog.

I only look today at the comics auction that ends tomorrow, and at lot 94 I have a few questions.

1. Which means "Offset and the black lines are screen printed!" ?

2. Is this really a Griffioen publication and not ZozoLala himself?

At the same comics auction as Boekenmagazijn already mentioned, I wonder if lot 44 also includes the colored version. If not, that image should actually be removed and it should also be removed from the images of the CataWiki item, because that only creates confusion.

I also think that lot 38 is not actually a comic, but a book with album pictures!

And lots 142 and 148 don't actually belong to the Toy auctions nowadays? Or are the auctioneers competing for the most beautiful items? That would explain why beautiful comics are offered at the book auction. For the price, it is sometimes worthwhile for the collector to look there, because not everyone sees those copies. ;)

The lot does not describe it as a comic book.
The seller and the auctioneers believe that these items can best be auctioned in the auction in which they are currently placed.

Elk Amoras from the Monday auction. Lot 165. This album should be in old spelling, but when I look at those pages like this I don't see the old spelling, but the new spelling.

Am I mistaken? Can anyone else judge it?

Greetings and thanks in advance,

Nick.

it's so far the record auction takes some getting used to

some teething troubles?

Lot 1 I didn't know that officially released Beatles have also had a Peer as a label in addition to Parlophone, Capitol, Odeon, and Apple, etc.!

lot 5 wrong catalog item selected, the Dutch version is also in the catalogue

lot 9 why not indicate the catalog item of the single

lot 10 2 items are not indicated from the catalog if they are not in it it would be nice if they were placed in the catalog we all enjoy them

lot 14 Why early edition? the characteristic if it is one of the first versions is not mentioned, it may be present but not sure

And why the French version was selected for the LP while the Dutch version is also in the catalog

Lot 30 Given the sleeve, it seems to be a re-press, unfortunately no scans, label already requested at the time of import

I don't know if you are mistaken Nick.
What I do know is that the front cover of lot 165 does not match the front cover of the selected album from the catalog.
Just look at the alignment of Willy's W ....
one of the two covers is therefore incorrect! And probably the auction lot because this alignment was, I think, used on albums from 1948-1949-1950.

Hi Rik,

Thanks in advance for the answer. Just don't feel good about this comic. Don't know why. My brain says, ok, first edition. My stomach says, something is wrong.

Greetings,

Nick.

ps. have already bought something at the auction from that seller, no problem, fine.

Lot 30 Considering the cover it seems to be a reprint, unfortunately no scans label already requested at the input

was indeed entered for item but presumably the auction lots then known item recorded. (frozen)

changes are then no longer visible at the lot item, but they are visible in the catalog item.

is that the case?

Record auction lot 31 bad scans, this is presumably a reissue from the 80s of the last century West Germany And why is this not included but with the English text? I can still assume that the accompanying texts for an item match, The input on the site is also a beautiful example How it should not be done! Lot 7 missed opportunity, no Catawiki reference should be possible once, but this way the auction will have a life of its own, which seems to me not to be the intention! It has been indicated that wrong links to Catawiki items have been made. this can be repaired or not? In addition, I am also trembling but some scans are now not pleasant to check at first thought that the glasses were fat no moved recording emotions? But if you indicate see lot 8 you can expect better scans. to agree on the matter (auction) (or importers) but to provide better frameworks

Hi Nick,

This album is fake as it gets; the inside of the covers is white, which is not possible, the covers themselves do not have the depth in colors that a first printing has; text is in new spelling (silly with a few 'o' written instead of 'silly'. I have already emailed Tammo, but apparently they do not intend to take the album out of the auction.

Moose Amoras from the Monday auction. Lot 165. This album should be in the old spelling, but when I look at those pages I don't see the old but the new spelling.

This album from the Classic series should be the first newspaper version or album version, I thought. Compared to that, the text is the same, so no simpleton.

inside of the covers is white

Inside covers: just ring the alarm bell!!!.

covers themselves do not have the depth of color that a first edition has

The covers even have a certain gloss that I would dare to attribute to a color copy.

I also find the stamp in the front suspicious. Postal codes were only introduced in 1969 in Belgium. Who puts a name stamp in an album that is at least 22 years old? But of course it is possible.

The corners are not visible in any of the photos. If it's a copy then it's pointed corners. If it is a cover that is 66 years old, then the thicker cardboard is somewhat rounded. (But it's not cardboard, rather white paper)

The paper of the book block also doesn't seem brown enough to me. Also too white. The colors of the pages jump out a bit too hard (very bright light blue) and lack the familiar warmth.

And then the page numbers!!! In the image in the catalog of the first edition, the numbering is in black. Here the numbering has a light blue color.

If I take this copy with me, then everything is correct: the gloss, the white cover, the too light blue color, the light blue page numbering, ...

Only the ad is gone at the bottom. But anyone with a PC and a scanner can get rid of that even with a basic program like Paint.

You can actually just call the previous owner (the doctor of the stamp) if you enter his name in Google. He no longer has office hours and his house is for sale, according to streetview.

But of course we look at pictures, they can always deceive a bit (but not that much!). You can only be really sure when you have had the item in your hands. But let us say there is reason enough to doubt.

Hello Joseph,

Here is the link of an earlier catawiki auction with an Amoras 1st edition; enlarge the center pages and you will see that it says 'noozelaar' with a double 'oo'.

http://veiling.catawiki.nl/kavels/40483-suske-en-wiske-rv-1a-suske-en-wiske-op-het-eiland-amoras-sc-1e-druk-1947

What do you think?

For the rest, Idk, seems to me more than reason enough to doubt, almost nothing is right.

You are only really sure when you have had the item in your hands. But let us say there is reason enough to be in doubt.

The seller has been asked to bring this album to the comic fair in Gorinchem for verification.
He has just announced that this will not work and indicates that if there is so much doubt, the lot can be withdrawn. He will have this album inspected for authenticity upon his return.

Nice such a record auction, but like Dick52 said, there is still a lot to improve!

Apparently photos and posters do not have to be placed at the new Curio auction, because it has to do with music . That seems to be the case with the other auctions, although comics and books quite often have items from each other in their auction. As a collector, it pays off to sort through both sections, because the book auction in particular often has nice comics on offer!

I just thought we didn't allow home-made items in CataWiki! ?? Lot 3 is really a collection of cards pasted in by a girl from The Hague and can therefore not be regarded as a collector's item! After all, these are separate cards that have been pasted in by the girl (or someone else) and then it is not an officially / illegally issued item? Furthermore, the booklet says Film stars and no Pop stars, which is a difference. The booklet also starts with movie stars, but turns into pop stars.

It is a nice item, but place it, if it is allowed to be auctioned, in the Curiosa auction, because it is certainly a curiosity! And so remove it from the CataWiki Catalog

Furthermore, at lot 23 something went wrong with the entry in CataWiki! I think it clearly says: Image 1 front cover, Image 2 back cover and Image 3 is the label. Image 2 has therefore not been entered correctly.
