"An opera by Peter Hammill. Libretto by Chris Judge Smith. From the tale by Edgar Allen Poe" Langverwachte opera van Peter Hammill (PH) kwam in 1991 eindelijk uit. Omdat PH niet helemaal tevreden was, nam hij 8 jaar later deze nieuwe versie op. Meewerkende artiesten zijn: Lene Lovich (Madeline Usher), Andy Bell (Montresor), Herbert Grönemeyer (the Herbalist) and Sarah-Jane Morris (the Chorus). PH zelf is Roderick Usher + the voices of the house.
