Greenhorn Lastige vraag. Er staan veel briefkaarten in Ansichtkaarten, maar voor een deel ten onrechte, Zo heb ik het begrepen: de kaarten met een voorgedrukte frankering zijn postwaardestukken, die bij Postzegels horen. Zonder voorgedrukte frankering + afbeelding horen ze bij Ansichtkaarten.

buizer Het gaat er mij om dat de term 'Buitenlandse illustratoren' niet wordt gebruikt, omdat die term in andere landen iets anders betekent. De overige door jou genoemde termen zijn niet per se fout. Er zijn ook verzamelaars die illustratoren uit een bepaald land verzamelen. Die vinden het plezierig om daar een thema van te maken.

Misschien ook leuk voor de verzamelaar die ook wat meer wil weten over de offsetdrukkerij op de achterkant van de kaart. Het gaat hierover een advertentie van VITA NOVA Schiedam. VITA NOVA is gevestigd geweest in Schiedam, Hank en Breda.

Lexxel Omdat het om blokletters gaat, vind ik het 'schrijfwijze'-argument niet heel sterk. Het feit dat het om iemand met dezelfde initialen gaat, doet wel vermoeden dat Will Berg de illustrator is. Ook valt op dat deze kaart is uitgegeven door Spanjersberg, terwijl heel veel kaarten van Will Berg door Vita Nova zijn uitgegeven. Wellicht had de illustrator contractuele redenen om niet met z'n volledige naam te tekenen.
Lexxel Because it concerns block letters, I don't think the 'style of writing' argument is very strong. The fact that it concerns someone with the same initials suggests that Will Berg is the illustrator. It is also noticeable that this card was published by Spanjersberg, while many Will Berg cards were published by Vita Nova. Perhaps the illustrator had contractual reasons for not signing with his full name.
Duidelijk, ik heb de toevoeger een berichtje gestuurd met de vraag om het kartelitem als nieuw item toe te voegen (kan die ineens zijn 'Verzameling' juist zetten).
VOORGEDRUKTE POSTZEGEL IN DE ANSICHTENKAARTENRUBRIEK????
Dit veld is tijdens een vorige discussie tussen de ansichtkaartenrubriek en de postzegelrubriek over postwaardestukken met een "plaatje" toegevoegd. Uiteindelijk is besloten dat alle Postwaardestukken bij elkaar moeten blijven en dan het beste in de Postzegelrubriek kunnen blijven.
Ik heb Collectioneur als eens gevraagd om het veld weg te halen. Maar we vragen hem continu van alles dus heb ik er alle begrip voor dat dit nog niet gebeurd is.
PREPRINTED POSTAGE STAMP IN THE POSTCARDS SECTION????
This field was added during a previous discussion between the postcards section and the stamp section about postal stationery with a "picture". Ultimately, it was decided that all Postal Stationery should remain together and it would be best to remain in the Stamp Section.
I once asked Collectioneur to remove the field. But we constantly ask him all kinds of things, so I fully understand that this has not happened yet.
Het is nu niet dat die afbeeldingen in de postzegelrubriek afzichtelijk of onduidelijk waren (zoals bv in #4296687 of # 6572699), maar ik heb ze vervangen. We zouden telkens in de specificaties en eigenschappen van het binair bestand van een afbeelding kunnen kijken om op basis van het aantal pixels en de DPI te berekenen of een afbeelding beter of slechter is ... Maar we vertrouwen nog op ons ogen (voorlopig). Wat er ok uit ziet wordt niet nodeloos vervangen. Bij een item dat er al op stond in 2009 in de correcte rubriek, en in een verkeerde rubriek wordt toegevoegd 12 jaar later, kan dat laatste item wel eens slachtoffer worden van verdwijnen, mét afbeelding. Voor zover iemand het opmerkt ... Een afbeelding van een item die ik als voldoende duidelijk beoordeel ga ik ook niet nodeloos gaan vervangen. Uit respect voor de man of vrouw die oorspronkelijk de moeite deed om een nette scan/afbeelding te voorzien. Wat duidelijk is is duidelijk.
Wat me bij dit onderzoek bijkomend opviel deed me achterover vallen van 't verschot. In de ansichtkaartenrubriek:

Misschien een idee om van de gelegenheidskaarten af te geraken in de Postzegelrubriek. Moet ik eens over nadenken.
It is not that the images in the stamp section were hideous or unclear (such as in #4296687 or #6572699), but I have replaced them. We could always look at the specifications and properties of an image's binary file to calculate whether an image is better or worse based on the number of pixels and the DPI... But we still rely on our eyes (for now). What looks OK is not replaced unnecessarily. In the case of an item that was already there in 2009 in the correct section, and is added in the wrong section 12 years later, the latter item may well become a victim of disappearing, with an image. As far as anyone notices... I will not unnecessarily replace an image of an item that I consider to be sufficiently clear. Out of respect for the man or woman who originally made the effort to provide a neat scan/image. What is clear is clear.
What struck me additionally during this research made me fall backwards. In the postcards section:

Maybe an idea to get rid of the occasional cards in the Stamp section. I should think about it.
