Er is blijkbaar bewust voor gekozen om dat op Catawiki anders aan te pakken, en dan krijg je natuurlijk dit soort dingen.

Die opmerking van Thorgal nummer 17 heb ik er een tijdje geleden volgens mij toegevoegd aan het item. Ik had dat nieuws gehoord toen ik dat album kocht bij een stripwinkel, ik geloof in Hoorn. Weet dus niet zeker of dat verhaal waar is, maar als een stripwinkeleigenaar het zegt....
Als dat veel opbrengt, dan ben ik ook erg blij, want ik heb er toen 2 van gekocht.
I think I added that comment from Thorgal number 17 to the item a while ago. I had heard that news when I bought that album at a comic book store, I believe in Hoorn. So not sure if that story is true, but if a comic shop owner says so ...

Kavel 62 (Flipje het "fruibaaje" van Tiel) heeft een behoorlijke hoeveelheid foto's, maar de beschrijving schiet ernstig tekort. Bij de Bijzonderheden van het catalogus-item staat nota bene "Waardebepaling is afhankelijk van de in het album aanwezige stroken". Dan mag je toch wel een volledige opsomming van alle aanwezige series en nummers verwachten?!
En ik wil niet persoonlijk worden, maar het valt wel op dat met name de kavels van Barabas tamelijk rampzalig zijn als je let op spelling, hoofdlettergebruik en interpunctie. En reclame maken voor andere originelen die te koop zijn (kavel 115) in "onze mooie stripwinkel" (kavel 120) lijkt me in een veiling als deze ook niet erg gepast.

And advertising other originals for sale (lot 115) in "our beautiful comic shop" (lot 120) doesn't seem very appropriate in an auction like this one.

(Je hoeft bij verschillend grote afbeeldingen niet meer telkens het pijltje op te zoeken, je kun gewoon willekeurig op de foto blijven klikken.)

The auction page now loads much faster, and in one go. The clip art pop-up has also been improved, making browsing the photos much easier. (You no longer have to look up the arrow every time with different sized images, you can just keep clicking on the photo at random.

Fijn dat het al op is gevallen. We hebben vanmorgen inderdaad een upgrade van onze software gedaan waardoor de pagina veel sneller is en ook de problemen met oudere versies van browsers verholpen moeten zijn.
Dit is een veel betere basis voor het toevoegen van een verkorte kavellijst waarin ook meteen duidelijk is waar je het hoogste bod hebt, bent overboden of dat je wilt volgen omdat het je interesse heeft.

This is a much better basis for adding an abbreviated lot list that also immediately shows where you have the highest bid, have been outbid or whether you want to follow because it interests you.

hele verbetering je merkt nog wel dat met de scroll knop van de muis het niet zo snel gaat als normaal als bijv in de rest van catawiki maar dat is verwaarloos baar

Klein technisch probleem bij kavels die bestaan uit méér dan 1 catalogus-item.
Als je op een van die items klikt krijg je zo'n mooi popup-venster, maar als je in dat venster een "Grotere foto" wilt bekijken krijg je de melding "This image could not be loaded".
Overigens laadt bij mij de hele pagina met 120 kavels (de eerste keer) binnen 5 seconden!

Minor technical problem with lots that consist of more than 1 catalog item.
If you click on one of those items you will get such a nice popup window, but if you want to view a "Larger photo" in that window you will get the message "This image could not be loaded".
Incidentally, the entire page with 120 lots loads (the first time) within 5 seconds!

Bij de lopende veiling staan wat Franstalige items, waar wellicht ook in Frankrijk belangstelling voor bestaat. Komt er nog een vertaling van de veiling, of tenminste van de instructies voor bieders, voor niet-Nederlandstalige gebruikers? De strikt Nederlandse uitleg is mogelijk een belemmering voor (kapitaalkrachtige) buitenlandse verzamelaars om een bod uit te brengen.

The current auction contains some French-language items, which may also be of interest in France. Will there be a translation of the auction, or at least of the instructions for bidders, for non-Dutch users? The strictly Dutch interpretation may be an obstacle for (wealthy) foreign collectors to make a bid.
Dat is wel de bedoeling maar we zijn daar helaas nog niet aan toegekomen. Punt blijft dan wel dat de omschrijvingen van kavels in beginsel niet vertaald zijn tenzij de verkopers het in meer talen aanleveren.
That is the intention, but unfortunately we have not got around to it yet. The point remains that the descriptions of lots are in principle not translated unless the sellers supply them in more languages.
Als ik iets bijzonders te veilen had zou ik de kavelbeschrijving desnoods in het Chinees (laten) vertalen, als dat de kans op een hogere opbrengst zou vergroten.
If I had something special to auction, I would have the lot description translated into Chinese, if necessary, if that would increase the chance of a higher yield.
Ik heb geprobeerd de volgende termen alvast voor je in het Chinees te laten vertalen:

Helaas accepteert het forum geen Chinese tekens. Het vertaalprogramma gaf wel aan dat ze in China geen woord hebben voor 'gezinnetje'. Toch vreemd, met het één-kindbeleid in gedachten... (;-)
