Bijzonderheden
Handtekeningen facsimile. Stuk op naam. Ontwaarding door perforatie. Directomat was a recording and playback system invented by Lucien C. Ducret, used in the New York subways to help people plot their routes. Unfortunately, vandalism ruined its implementation and it never was fully operational. The company also installed at the Malden Service Area on the New York State Thruway a new program to provide motorists with free information about overnight accommodations and tourist attractions. The device produced printed "trip slips" at the push of a button. The company went bankrupt in January 1970.
