Model known in the UK as Vauxhall Astra. In production between 1979 and 1984 (the real car, that is) Made by Schuco for Opel dealers as part of the Opel Car Collection. Model is extremely detailed, complete with grey chequered interior, vinyl bumpers, realistic wheels and hubcaps, vinyl/chrome trim lists etc. Schuco also made the Kadett D in a 'regular version' (non dealer), albeit not in red, but in pistacchio green and azure blue. The catalogue value is based on RRP. Since the model is still relatively new, mint condition and 'never removed' should be about the same - it's not old enough to be damaged by age. Found the following catalogue information doing some 'deep digging' on the net: Artikelnr. Schuco: 50340000 Teilenr. Opel: 93199159 Katalognr. Opel: 1799614 Farbe: flamenco rot I guess this means there's 3 different catalogue numbers for this, hmmm...
