Following the Series II release Land Rover could have rested on their laurels without having to invest further money. Yet, as that glimpse behind the scenes in early 1958 shows, things were far from static at Solihull, and in 1961 yet more new models were launched - the Series IIIA Land Rovers. Many Land Rovers were worked hard during their lifetime and many of those still around today look a little worse for wear.
