Bijzonderheden
Using a Formula One name to sell a more powerful version of a road car was established practise by the time the Brabham Viva was announced in 1967. In fact Jack Brabham had won his first two world championships driving Coopers, before John Cooper had looked at the Mini in earnest, and Lotus had worked with Ford on a number of projects, most famously the Lotus Cortina. Brabham had won another F1 world championship in 1966, driving a car carrying his name, and Denny Hulme, driving a Brabham, had won 1967’s championship. So the addition of a Brabham name to the HB Viva was an astute marketing move. The 1.2 litre engine gained 9BHP, giving 69 in total, from twin Stromberg carburettors, and a special manifold and straight through exhaust. Limited Edition 2.510 pcs. (with certificate)
