Everyone’s favourite getaway car, the Jaguar MK2, was launched at the 1959 Motor Show and was actually a considerably revised version of 1955’s Jaguar 2.4. When the 220BHP 3.8 litre XK engine was fitted in that beautiful body shape Jaguar had invented the compact performance saloon, almost without even realising it. For a time it was the fastest 4 door saloon car in the world and soon became a race track legend as well, being driving by names such as Stirling Moss and Graham Hill. Limited Edition 2.470 pcs.
