Bob Jane was a co-driver in Henry Firths Ford Cortina GT in 1963 and the following year was the driver of the winning Ford Cortina GT 1964.There has been a 500 mile or 1000km race at Mt Panorama every year since 1963 and in the 41 races only 47 men have stood on the podium as overall winners and of those only 14 have managed it more than once. Bob Jane is indeed a true champion. Motor sport owes a lot to Bob Jane, a gutsy and aggressive competitor; Jane recorded four straight victories in the Armstrong 500 Limited Edition 3.000 pcs.
