Issued to commerorate Corgi 50th Anniversary (AN 04910)
THE STORY
2006 was the 50th anniversary of Corgi and to celebrate they produced a gold plated model from each of their ranges. Each model being limited to just 50 examples worldwide with Corgi keeping 3 for their own publicity purposes meaning only 47 were available to collectors. The models were sold on an special online Corgi auction. Due to the rareness of these models hours before the auctions ending the auction site was inundated with hits and many collectors were unable to place bids due to site continually crashing
The model comes in special bespoke packaging and comes complete with wooden plinth, two anniversary booklets and a certificate of authenticity . The model itself is gold plated and comes with Corgi's Anniversary logo on its bonnet.
