Ik heb deze blokkendoos nu al een tijdje in mijn bezit, en ik kan er vrijwel geen informatie over vinden. Op de doos staat CUBES 2040. Mijn versie is helaas wel beschadigd, de scharnieren zijn afgebroken, en degene van wie ik hem heb gekocht heeft er plakband omheen gedaan! Ik heb er een paar weken over gedaan om het plakband te verwijderen, aangezien het plaatje van papier is, en dus zo word meegetrokken door het plakband. Helaas heeft het middel van de doos het niet overleefd (dit was al zo). Heeft iemand misschien meer informatie omtrent het jaartal of iets dergelijk? En weet iemand misschien de huidige waarde? Ik heb hem ook toegevoegd aan de catalogus.

I have had this box of blocks in my possession for a while now, and I can hardly find any information about it. The box says CUBES 2040. My version is unfortunately damaged, the hinges are broken, and the person I bought it from put tape around it! It took me a few weeks to remove the tape, as the plate is made of paper, so it gets pulled by the tape. Unfortunately, the means of the box did not survive (this was already the case). Does anyone have more information about the year or something like that? And does anyone perhaps know the current value? I have also added it to the catalog.

Volgens mij zijn het houten blokken als ik de fotos zo bekijk. Volgens mij heb ik ook nog 2 van deze dozen in mijn verzameling. Ik dacht altijd dat het blokkendozen uit Oost-Europa (Tjecho-Slowakije?) waren, vanwege de goedkope tekeningen en het hout van de doos.
Nu ik er steeds meer zie, ben ik ervan overtuigd dat het geen huisvlijt meer is. Leuk om ook te verzamelen en deze gaat dan ook op mijn zoeklijst.
De huidige waarde van die blokkendozen is denk ik niet erg groot. Ik kom ze wel eens tegen op snuffelmarkten voor rond de 20 euro en natuurlijk op de Verzamelaarsbeurs te Utrecht voor een zeer grote veelvoud hiervan.
Jouw versie zal voor verzamelaars, zoals ik, niet zoveel opleveren, want zoals je zelf al zegt, is de conditie van de doos niet zo goed meer. Het moet wel een goed geheel zijn en dan betalen verzamelaars er meer voor, maar ze proberen altijd af te dingen.
I think they are wooden blocks when I look at the pictures like this. I think I also have 2 of these boxes in my collection. I always thought they were building blocks from Eastern Europe (Czechoslovakia?), Because of the cheap drawings and the wood of the box.
Now that I see more and more, I am convinced that it is no longer a hobby. Nice to collect as well and it will be added to my wish list.
I don't think the current value of those blocks boxes is very great. I sometimes come across them at sniffing markets for around 20 euros and of course at the Verzamelaarsbeurs in Utrecht for a very large multiple of this.
Your version will not yield much for collectors like me, because as you say yourself, the condition of the box is not that good anymore. It has to be a good whole and collectors pay more for it, but they always try to bargain.
