The new themes field should later link up with the planned umbrella themes at Catawiki, where someone who collects a certain theme, for example Owls, Squirrels, John F. Kennedy or Space, can also find the corresponding coins.
Themes for coins were entered in the Series field until recently (November 2011). There they have been removed and now put in their own field. We will keep to the import convention for the time being, pending the Catawiki-wide theme field:
- It must be a meaningful theme, of which more reasonably can be collected. So not "2004 Prooflike coin sets". So it shouldn't actually contain any coin-specific text.
- Generalize themes, so not "40 years of independence" but "independence" and not "100th birthday of Rembrandt van Rijn" but "Rembrandt van Rijn"
- Themes in general in plural. So not "Mill" or "Tree" but "Mills", "Trees". Where no plural applies, it is of course not necessary, such as "South Pole", "Independence", "John F. Kennedy". Celebrities and things of which only one exist not in plural.

- 200 jaar George Washington president
- 200 jaar Australië
- Olympische Spelen
- The America's Cup Challenge Fremantle
- George Washington
- Australië
- Olympische Spelen
- America's Cup
Make sure you no longer enter Themes in Series. I came across:
- 200 years of George Washington president
- 200 years of Australia
- Olympic Games
- The America's Cup Challenge Fremantle
These are all Themes and not Series.
The Themes then become:
- George Washington
- Australia
- Olympic Games
- America's Cup

We do not re-enter heads of government that are structurally depicted on the coin under Theme.
I came across a lot of coins with "Kwame Nkrumah" on head of government, theme and series. This only belongs to the Head of Government.
By way of comparison: we will not use "Juliana" as the theme for all coins with Juliana on it.
I also come across coins that (in my opinion automatically) incorrectly receive the theme as head of government.
Just a note about entering the theme,
the plural of museum is museums and not museums.
Have it adjusted.

musea en museums mag allebei.
Helaas........
museums and museums are both allowed.
Unfortunately ........
For the 10 euro coin 2012 San Marino3109155 I entered europe star at series. I think it would be useful to be able to view all coins with the europa star. The last of the Netherlands was the Sculpture Fiver. There are more, but I'm not sure if it should be listed under series or theme.
