I have five Suske en Wiske albums, numbered 83, 84, 89, 90, 91.
Exactly the same as the first edition, but now with ISBN number. The question now is: what year do these come from, and what is the story behind this? I believe that Brabant Strip has written an item about it.

Daar zijn eigenlijk twee verschillende 'problemen'
- ISBN/geen ISBN
- geplastificeerd/mat
There are actually two different 'problems'
- ISBN/no ISBN
- plasticized/matt
With the ISBNs, I think it's pretty clear. They have been used for the sus and erase only from 105 The King Drinks (1970). So all albums with a lower number and ISBN are reprints. With the same front and back cover, probably 1970.
Concerning plasticized / matte it is not so clear. That is about the numbers 67-81. There are matte and laminated editions. Some laminated ones have an ISBN number and others don't . But most likely the mattes are the first edition (until proof or proof to the contrary).
Dag Zwendel,
Dank. Hopelijk zie ik de lichtknop...
Hi Scam,
thanks, but the light does not turn on for me yet ...
For example, now I have De Straatridder, exactly identical to the 1st edition,
So this one: http://www.catawiki.nl/catalogus / comics / series-heroes / suske-en-wiske / 27167-the-street-knight
however now with ISBN number.
If my album is from 1970 why are all albums already released
not visible after the street knight. In other words is there also an explanation for this release? I can't explain it. Leftover used at printer? But which one then? What does article BSM say about this?
Thanks. Hopefully I see the light switch ...
Some laminated ones have an ISBN number
also confusing that there is no ISBN in the description, while the scan shows one again, mistake?

Heb die BSM even opgesnord.

Have a look at that BSM. That was actually about matte / plasticized. They wanted to prove that the laminated copies were reprints because some of them have an ISBN number.
What is the explanation? I was not there, but I think they messed up during that period (coming out of the four-color series).
In 1967 they also started reprints of strips that had never been reprinted before with the four-color series (Amoras). They probably sold so much of it that they didn't have time to change the covers of reprints.
And in 1970 things got completely out of hand: then they reissued the complete uncoloured and blue series (never reprinted before). I think they just didn't have time to adjust the covers for reprints.
In any case, an interesting problem.
Something similar happened with the first two-color editions, which is also quite weird.

And the nice thing is that with Catawiki everything comes to light, people should make more use of it.

That's how I have always understood it.
The 67 - 81 in first edition have a matte cover.
No ISBN number below 105 with the first edition.
But indeed, what is the reason for reprints whose title lists have not been adapted?
PS in BS magazine 158 there is an error in the list. The deposit number of no. 82 is incorrect, it must be D / 1968/0034/124 instead of the mentioned D / 1967/0034/124. This is correctly stated here on Catawiki.
