Does anyone know why the stamps about the Kärnten Abstimmung (1920) are simply placed with Austria (for example this issue ), while the stamps about the Salzburger Volksabstimmung (1921) are included in the separate collection area ' Austria - local post '?
I see that Michel also does this (the ones from Salzburg are under Lokalausgaben), but I don't see the logic in that. Anyone know the reasoning behind this? Does it have to do with the validity of the stamps?
The Lokalausgaben also includes some (unissued) stamps about the plebiscite in Kärnten. There is the name of the Bundesland on the stamp itself (no print). E.g. #9759295
FYI: these plebiscites came about as a result of the Treaty of Versailles, in which a number of border areas could vote which country they wanted to join. Only a relatively small majority (59%) in Carinthia opted to join Austria, to the detriment of SHS, i.e. Yugoslavia.

In addition, there is also the country/area Carinthia : 6 Yugoslav stamps from 1920 with an overprint for this referendum.
Michel then simply places these stamps with Yugoslavia.
If those from Carinthia-Austria are on LD with Austria, then I would also move these 6 stamps to Yugoslavia...
