Have you come up with any solutions that you'd care to share on ways to find the information that you're trying to find???

if i may?

miloclaughton ( in a nutshell i hope and no offence intended please, just a personal view) : finding and identifying is mostly solemnly dependent on the owner of the item, (he/she has the item to look at), and what skills are possesed and available in search. It is and always be manual labour.
Best way is to take a good picture first. Next look for any characters or figurines, texts etc.. that could likely give a clou. (use your brain and imagination what it all 'could be').
What is the most likely material (copper, silver, lead, gold).
That is a starting point for base search for 'directions' to go.
Start with (no guarentee it will popup updirectly, but it happens) use (possible thesedays) reversed image search. If no direct hit is present, you might find lookalikes. Those could help you pinpointing in a further search. (could become a lenghty process). If it could be a valuable item, then time is welll spent, if result shows low value... (if found) well you learned how to do it.
Values of course is a totally different aspect. Who does the grading, based on the condition of item and availability (rare?). Correct value (what could it be? more like what is one willing to pay and in trading is paid) seldom found in catalogues (those are estimates), but in the outside world (sellers, auctions etc..).

Not to be being blunt, but did you look through the site? At time of posting there are 90.487 coins
listed, and search is available in many different combinations by filtering. So ok, it is merely a collection, and there are many more, and when not found, people are encouraged to add the item, so the catalogue can grow, and as such contribute to provide the information one seeks.
Remember: a collectors site (trading possible) offers some values (be it good, low or high), but hardly
does grading.
(personal : asking questions is easy, and a lot of people are being helped (if possible) but one often forgets that it takes time and willingness of the people involved (what do they benefit? ).
The one-timers (in-out value) do tend to lower the willingness to help.
(this text is supposed as a helping hand).
So the question in general would be (counter).. what were your struggles to finding it?
Having this information here, would benefit the site too.
Have a nice day.
