Personally I think it's better the way of rubbing 'for sale' under the nose of a collector should be the same everywhere.
Considering the condition.
Finally, as a collector on LD you determine the condition yourself.
Want to see everything? Then put 'Stamped' as condition in your search list.
You can't parameterize more than that. It's yourselfin your hands.
Of course there are drawbacks. Anyone who has a postage stamp MNH and is also looking for it stamped ... will then also see the offers MNH.
But that's one's own choice. And you have to filter out those cases yourself.
It is annoying that those 'icons' with their appropriate discoloration do not yet appear everywhere with an item.
Whoever collects duplicates and places an item 'Stamped' in the search list, he will always have to do all the clicks to get to the detail to see whether the item is in MNH or not in the collection.
With the icons you can save yourself a lot of clicking. Where the 'in collection' icon (if shown everywhere with each item) doesn't turn green, then you don't have it at all. And you can place both the stamped and the MNH versions in your shopping cart with confidence.
That was the essence of my writing and argument at the time to show these pictograms everywhere and always with the image of an item:
everywhere on LD where the item appears have an immediate view on how this item is situated in your collection (I have, I don't have, I want, I don't want, I also have for sale ).
If it does turn green, and you placed the item in your search list with condition 'Stamped', then you also know that it turns green because of a MNH copy.
Unless you made a mistake in your collection . But then you have a problem yourself that you have to pay for the consequences.
Both managing your collection and when shopping, insufficient account is taken of those collectors who collect stamps in both conditions.
And ... that's quite a few. Almost everyone who collects one or a few specific countries keeps the stamps both canceled and MNH. The majority will also actively look for it sooner or later. To fill the 'holes'. And that, dear reader, that is collecting.
These are opportunities that are not used, to the detriment of shop owners. Or, as a reverse marketing slogan: no attraction is no conversion.

@Andreascostellanus

Uh ... isn't it the other way around?
The 'Worst' condition for stamps is 'Cancelled'.
If you have 'Cancelled' in your search list, you will see everything that is on offer'.
If you have selected 'MNH' in your search list, you will only receive the offers in MNH condition.
The condition you indicate in the search list is the condition from, with all higher (better) conditions.

The condition of stamps is a special one (can be canceled better/more expensive than MNH), but the mechanism to search is analogous to what is provided in other sections. From low to high. From stamped to MNH.
Books eg are not stamped or MNH. Those conditions have a different name there. But it corresponds to the underlying level (low to high).
If you are looking for a book in reasonable condition, you will also see the offers that are in good or new condition. You never know :)
If you're looking for new condition, you won't be bothered with offers in good condition or in fair condition.
Stamps are special because that condition has nothing to do with the state of the object. There are many collectors who collect both MNH and stamped.
I don't know anyone with a book in Mint condition in collection who would also like to buy the same book in reasonable condition.
Not in Belgium anyway lol

where I indicate MNH if I search MNH, Unused or Stamped and where I indicate Stamped if I only search Stamped.
By the way,
Raoul62 is right. If you are looking for MNH, Unused or Stamped then you must specify "Cancelled" when you put the stamp in your search list because it matches on the desired condition or better and "Cancelled" is the least condition of the three. Post is in the best condition.

That's certainly true. There is a difference. Although it is usually true that a canceled stamp is less valuable than a MNH. In the future we will have to find a solution specifically for postage stamps, because it is indeed a bit of an odd one out.

Indeed I don't use the For sale filter, because then I don't see the Suppliers in the facet, and I just look at who offers what.
Indeed the filter works as you say, I was still with the old method of the filter in my head.
Some stamps are stamped of more value because these stamps have not been used much in sending mail, this can be, for example, the higher values that are not used much on postal items, the circulation is often lower, but it is then offered more MNH, because foresighted minds have bought them in higher circulations for the trade, without placing them in the postal system. so use. But most stamps have a lower value, a high circulation and are often used. Then the MNH version is less available.

Dank Andreascostellanus .

First of all on the Marketplace.
This stamp, for example, could be an opportunity can be. Peru is not in my wish list (I have to keep it limited for the sake of performance). So I have to click through item by item.
The screen that I always get contains no icons either. For that I have to click again on the link of the LD-id:
Only then do I come to a screen where my trusty icons tell me: yes, it is an opportunity !
Stamps are not ordered individually. An order sometimes goes up to 500 items.
The trick is to find a seller who, on the one hand, has a sufficient supply that offers opportunities, and on the other, is not too expensive overall.
That starts from the 'Match' search function. But in addition, the offer can also, additionally, be interesting. The range of stamps that are not in the search list, but are also not in the collection.
If you have to click through 2 times in the shop item per item ... then you can click 1,000 times (each new window that you have to click again afterwards) to find maybe 15 items that can also be added to the order. You only do something like this every now and then, and you might miss out on good opportunities. And the seller also goes wrong.
There are still situations, but the one described above is the most important one. Especially for the sellers who miss out on several orders.
I already described it in great detail.
A second place, which is closely related, is in a specific shop.
The same scenario there too ...
I can match perfectly with my search list. Beautiful.
But many shops close immediately with me (the screen :)) if I see too few match items . However, if several hours of work (click-there-the-click) would result in a nice order ... unfortunately.
If the icons were there, I would only have to click on the orange button of the shopping cart , if I could see there that an item is offered that is also not yet in my collection.
I really don't know by heart which of the 750,000 different items from the stamp section I own or not to be. For that I use ... LD. And there I would like to be continuously assisted by LD. Because of the typical icons that attract my attention and make it clear to me: you could also order that item.

Maybe provide 2 options: "exact search" and "search better"?
That would also be nice.
If I bring in a stamp, it will be removed from my search list. I already have it.
But certain countries I collect double: both stamped and MNH.
Still I remove the item from my search list, to avoid confusion. I had had enough of having to keep saying: "Tiens, I already had it in MNH. Too bad, ... another one for the heap of doubles. Waste of money, because I should have bought another stamp with that. ".
With flexibility (choose yourself: 'Find now exactly' or 'Search now from') you can keep that under control.
However, then it becomes a bit more complex. And the great new option for processing order to collection might get confused.
And the latter is currently the only one of my 'list under the LD Christmas tree' that has already been realized is. With the greatest distinction, then! Three-four clicks in that new procedure have replaced the hundreds (thousands) of clicks.
4. Smoother processing of the items of an incoming order.
The number of clicks when processing the received items is now countless ...
The new procedure must not be compromised.
The new procedure must not be compromised.

Thanks.
Welke 4e?
Thanks. So you would also like to see the icons in the marketplace and the shop.
The "For Sale" icon doesn't seem relevant there because everything is for sale there.
It's only about the search list and collection icon I think?
Wouldn't it make more sense there to show only those icons if it's in your own search list or collection? So only the green and not the blue and gray?
1. The 3 (hopefully someday 4) icons with their correct color on each item all over the site.
Which 4th?

The icon that represents the list 'on order'.
I have elaborated on this extensively. I usually order several hundred items per order, and make multiple orders from different sellers. Then it sucks when you receive a stamp a 2nd and even a third time. I can't remember all that, I trust LD completely. And that has already cost me pennies.
Once an order is fully completed (including the feedback), that item may disappear from that list. It would immediately be a motivation to give feedback, because there are some who no longer let you hear if something has arrived and/or is in order. I myself will not go fishing for the feedback.
Every transaction should be closed with a feedback. Even if the transaction did not go through (due to cancellation for whatever reason).
The feedback says something about how everything went. It is perfectly possible to interrupt a transaction by mutual agreement, as decent people. Then it's green as well. If one of the parties makes a fuss and something red follows: negative feedback is not necessarily a disadvantage, there is always a reply. And both formulations sometimes say much more than the color that comes with it. We can all read.
To repeat, point 3 of my list that I had put under the LD Christmas tree. I think Santa's memory is as pitiable as mine.
3. The 4th 'on order' list with icon.
Would make a difference financially. When ordering from multiple suppliers in the same period, an item is often purchased multiple times. A negative budget compared to other shops.

The icon that represents the list 'on order'.
Ah, that's what you mean. We also have that on the list, but it is especially relevant for people who order large numbers and place many orders at the same time. I'm sure this will come, but your question to add the existing pictograms in the marketplace and shops seems relevant and faster for more people.
So see my question again just to be sure
It's only about the list of values and collection icon I think?
Wouldn't it make more sense there to only show those icons if it's in your own search list or collection? So only the green and not the blue and gray?

Just show the icons with the correct color for each item on Marktplaats and in a shop.
Now an item is only described in detail if it matches your search list. But, other opportunities are possible.
At 1 in the image, for example. I don't have it in my wish list, but I would immediately see that it isn't in my collection either => consider adding it to my shopping cart anyway. I no longer have to click through to open the detail afterwards. I see it here, in the place where it is important to know. Only one click is required for purchase.
At 2, see in the image, I immediately see that the item no longer needs any further attention.
The detailed statement 'Match with your search list' then becomes superfluous. that space can then be used for something useful.
And you see, the three icons don't take up that much space. There is even room for the fourth icon if it ever comes. And even for the fifth (if I may be really wild and creative: the exchange list :)).
I wouldn't deviate from the 'standard'. The icons are neatly arranged with their appropriate color. That's one of the first things you notice as a new user on LD: the colored icons. The mnemonics. That's why it's doable: LD has to show what you have and what you don't have. Always and everywhere. Not?

1. The one with the shopping cart is nonsensical in the marketplace and shops, isn't it because everything is logically for sale there?
2. The search list icon is already there if you have it in your search list. The reason we explain it is because there is room for it and people then understand faster the operation of the search list match, which is more important in the marketplace than in the catalog.
3. The icon indicating it is in your collection is missing and I imagine that would be useful. I think it would be good to display that in the same way as the Search List icon but with a text like "Already in your collection: Stamped". Surely that would help a lot and save a lot of clicks

I wouldn't be so sure. Sellers are buyers are collectors, and vice versa. And some are merchants.
If you see an item at a certain price, and you see that it is also for sale in your own shop. Then you could go and have a look to compare the prices.
Adjust your own price afterwards (make it more realistic, usually adjust it downwards). LD is a site for bidding, by the providers. Other sites are for bidding on, by buyers.
But it could just as well be that you conclude: 'Hey, he wants to get rid of it for next to nothing. Let me buy it.' For the well-known reason, of course.
A stamp that you offer for sale for 25 euros suddenly appears at 1 euro. You buy them, and then you put them both up for sale for 15 euros each. More chance of turnover. I don't deal with that myself, but professional sellers (shops) do. That is simply 'doing commerce'. Buy cheap and then sell for a profit.
Conclusion: it can really prove its worth.
In addition, show all 3 (more later?) icons in the appropriate color. Everywhere and always, in the same way. House style, recognisability, ... And cheaper to develop. One lego block with the procedure is summoned everywhere. That is much cheaper to develop and maintain. Will there be a fourth icon? Then you only have to adjust the Lego block. And everywhere that fourth genius drawing is added, in the appropriate color.

If you see an item at a certain price, and you see that it is also for sale in your own shop. Then you could go and have a look to compare the prices.
Then the icon is only relevant if you have a shop and it is listed there. For people who don't (most of them) that icon is redundant.
So I think we'd better display the current way of displaying it in your search list:
Expand the
with the relevant icon and a text like:
"Already in your collection: Stamped"
and
"In your own shop: Stamped"
This all in Green because we already use that color with the icons to indicate that you are looking for / have / sell it yourself.
If we add those 2 lines where relevant, then your information need is satisfied ?

That's even better, if you state in which condition. I would have been satisfied with the colored icons alone. Then you can already see where to click and where not.
But with the condition involved: top. just put it in the shopping cart. Luxe.
Now one more button or parameter to never see the 'Personal' stamps again lol. But that's another hilarious story.

Ok, it is now a bit more elaborated on the list Raoul62
V.,w.b. personal stamps: they are not in the standard filter, are they? Is it such a big problem if you make other selections outside of the default filter?

You would be green of all those 'Personal' items without theme, without year of issue, without issue name, ... only 'Man' as title and 'Germany' as country eg. Usually even several turn. The worst part is that certain of those stamps are added again after months by the same adder. Sometimes even 3 or 4 times with intervals of several months. Why? Because you can put them in. Extracting it (search and find, to make sure you're not duplicating) is really impossible.
What would be best is an account-level parameter, indicating that you'll never see items of type 'Personal ' want to see. Never. Not in the catalog (whatever the filter is), and not on the Marketplace.
A true Fleming would say 'I don't give a damn!' And that's not even an exaggeration.
Anyone who really likes it (on those Personal stamps) should not put a stop to such a 'personal' parameter.
Even more drastic: a 'Nonsense' section. ..
But: that is a different story in a other (recent) thread. You should go and check it out.

We are getting a bit off-topic, but okay.
The discussion about whether personal stamps can be included in the catalog has been had before and the conclusion so far is that you could / can send mail with it, they are collected and we therefore include them.
The worst part is that certain of those stamps are added again after months by the same adder.
Duplications are of course not the intention and you can mark it that way or clean it up as an administrator, right?
It would be best to have an account-level parameter, indicating that you never want to see items of the 'Personal' type again.
If we make it possible for a specific user for each section to no longer see certain types of items, the settings screen becomes rather cluttered... I also don't like a certain type of Netflix series but I don't think that Netflix is therefore going to allow me to no longer see that in selections.
If this is now a big problem that many users have - and the Default filter does not sufficiently solve this - then we should rather look for it in things that solve it for everyone. Maybe you have some workable suggestions for that?
