I see how here and there (eg Desparate housewives) of a season both the complete box and all parts are included - because the discs are packaged in separate slim cases in pairs. Is that actually intended or necessary? I do not see that happening with CD boxes (while I do see the need for it (mainly with those boxes that contain CDs that are also available separately - Beatles boxes, Shine on by Pink Floyd ...)

That's a tough question.
There are sections (eg Comics) where giving all "reprints" and "editions" is normal, because there are collectors who also collect "reprints".
For DVDs and especially recent ones, you can ask whether it is necessary to include all "editions".
I would say "Collectors" and "Special Issues": Yes.
If it is just the same, but with a different cover (or different language): No
Collection boxes and separate episodes is a questionable case, but I would still say: Yes, because physically they are clearly 2 different things. You can of course discuss its usefulness.
Oh, I don't really have a problem with it, I just find it a bit strange, because such a seasonal box is actually only one item.
Admittedly, it looks a lot more impressive if instead of 5 images (the 5 boxes Desperate Housewives for example) you can "upscale" to 28 images (the boxes + the individual DVD covers)
Back on-topic.
The fact that each DVD is imported separately from a box has surprised me from the start. Considering "Prison Break" is a series released in one box! The DVDs have never been sold separately.
For a moment off-topic… I also notice that people suddenly put the, het, een, etc behind the title instead of in front. It makes more sense in terms of sorting, but it is not as agreed. Like full titles so HEAD + SUB . Nice if there is another discussion about this.
Back on-topic. It is not a problem that the DVDs are imported separately from a box, but mentioning everything Episodes 1 - 4, etc., it becomes difficult to search for the correct one in the database. Image does not say everything either, because people may have taken it from the internet and it may not match the item.

mmmmh I would like to come back to this.
Recently added House 1,2,3 and 4.
If you also add the individual boxes there, you will end up with an extra 11 entries, while they are not for sale separately.
So suggestion: if they don't have a separate EAN nr, don't enter (I think this is a very objective criterion).

@ WIllem-Naber: And what do you do if you have version 1, as you suggested? I have a collection box of The Dirty Dozen with separate DVD boxes with DVDs that go with it. It is not in the Catalog yet, but if I have added it, do I have to add the individual DVDs to my collection as well? Then suddenly I have 5 items (there are 4 DVDs in it) of the same kind. I have not yet looked at the number of the DVDs in the box, but I believe they have the same number as the individual versions in the Catalog.
