Ik heb een album (Davo Nederland II) met gestempelde postzegels die met een plakker vastzitten. Daarnaast heb ik van een redelijk deel van dit boek postfrisse zegels in een insteeklbum. Ik overweeg nu om de gestempelde zegels uit het album te verwijderen en het te vullen met de postfrisse versies. Ik heb inmiddels gevonden dat je een plakker van een postzegel kan verwijderen door 'm af te weken in water.
Is er een handige manier om plakkers of plakker resten te verwijderen uit het album?

I have an album (Davo Nederland II) with canceled stamps that are attached with a sticker. In addition, I have MNH stamps in a stock album of a reasonable part of this book. I am now considering removing the canceled stamps from the album and filling it with the MNH versions. I have now found that you can remove a patch from a stamp by soaking it in water.
Is there a handy way to remove sticky or sticky residue from the album?

Lang geleden erfde ik een verzameling Duitsland in een Schaubek voordrukakbum. Daar had ik hetzekfde probleem mee.
Plakkers van gestempelde zegels lukt wel door ze in handwarm water te leggen en een uur of langer te laten weken. Meestal laten papier- en plakkerresten vanzelf wel los en kan je de postzgels uit het water vissen. Gomresten zonodig voorzichtig met de vinger afwrijven. Daarna met de beeldzijde op vloeipapier leggen (kan ook keukenrolpapier zijn) en aan de lucht laten drogen. Duurt vaak lang (enige dagen), maar geduld is belangrijk. Vanwege eventuele gomresten altijd met het beeld naar beneden drogen.
Postzegels (bedrukt papier) hebben de neiging op te krullen tijdens het drogen. Zodra de zegels goed droog zijn, kan je ze voorzichtig in een insteekalbum doen en zo de zegels vlak krijgen.
Postfrisse zegels met plakker zullen echter bij afweken hun gomlaag (gedeeltelijk) kwijtraken en zijn niet te redden. Dat kan je het beste oplossen met Hawid klemstroken. Die maak je precies op maat voor het vakje in je Davo album. Dat is ook een uitstekende oplossing voor de écht postfrisse zegels in je stockboek. Hangt wél een prijskaartje aan, natuurlijk.

Long ago I inherited a collection of Germany in a Schaubek preprinted album. I had the same problem with that.
Patches of stamped stamps can be done by placing them in lukewarm water and allowing them to soak for an hour or more. Usually paper and adhesive scraps will come off by themselves and you can fish the stamps out of the water. If necessary, gently rub off gum residue with your finger. Then place the image side on tissue paper (can also be kitchen roll paper) and let it air dry. Often takes a long time (several days), but patience is important. Always dry face down because of gum residue.
Stamps (printed paper) have a tendency to curl when drying. As soon as the stamps are completely dry, you can carefully place them in an insert album to get the stamps flat.
MNH stamps with adhesive will, however, lose their gum layer (partially) when they deviate and cannot be saved. The best solution is to use Hawid clamp strips. You tailor it exactly for the compartment in your Davo album. This is also an excellent solution for the real MNH stamps in your stock book. Does have a price tag, of course.

Er zittten inderdaad ook een aantal zegels, vooral velletjes bij die gestempeld zijn, maar niet gebruikt. Ze zijn gestempeld op de 1e dag van uitgifte. Dus die hebben de gomlaag nog wel en ik twijfel of ik daar de plakker van ga losmaken (al zag ik in deze post dat ze niet echt bijzonderder zijn dan gewoon gestempelde zegels https://www.lastdodo.nl/forum/forums/193-postzegels-algemeen/topics/11403-stempel-eerste-dag-van-uitgifte)
Maar hoe heb jij de plakkers en plakkerresten uit het album gekregen? Zonder het papier te scheuren? Ik wil er dan inderdaad plakstroken voor in de plaats plakken voor de postfrisse zegels.

There were indeed a number of stamps, especially sheets that were canceled, but not used. They are stamped on the 1st day of issue. So they still have the gum layer and I doubt whether I will loosen the adhesive (although I saw in this post that they are not really more special than just canceled stamps https://www.lastdodo.nl/forum/forums/193-postzegels-algemeen/topics/11403-stempel -first-day-of-issue )
But how did you get the patches and sticky residue out of the album? Without tearing the paper? I would indeed like to put adhesive strips in place for the MNH stamps.

in die gevallen laat ik de plakkerrest zitten (in ieder geval laatste restje) want ik wil het albumpapier niet beschadigen. Er gaat dan een plakstrook-op-maat overheen, en als de zegel daar in zit zie je dat plakker restantje toch niet meer.

In those cases I leave the adhesive residue (at least the last bit) because I don't want to damage the album paper. There is then a tailor-made adhesive strip over it, and when the stamp is in there you will no longer see that adhesive residue.

Net voor ik begon had ik een brainwave :-)
Een wattenstaafje natmaken en op de plakker(rest) houden. Dan komt de plakker los van het album. Wel daarna de pagina even laten drogen.

Heel sluw. Maar wél je albumblad grondig laten drogen, anders help je zegels met gom naar de Filistijnen. Dat probleem had ik dus niet, want ik gebruikte zwarte klemstroken (vond ik mooier).
Very cunning. But do let your album page dry thoroughly , otherwise you will help seals with gum to the Philistines. So I didn't have that problem, because I used black clamp strips (I liked better).

Sigarenbandjes moet je niet afweken. De verf lost en dan zijn ze verloren. Verzamelaars van die dingen indertijd plakten die in een schrift.
Iemand heeft me ooit verteld dat, als je zo'n schriftje een tijdje in de vriezer (ijskast) stopt, je kans maakt dat je ze min of meer ongeschonden van het papier kan krijgen.
Voor postzegels die niet met een speciale postzegelplakker in een insteekalbum zijn vastgemaakt kan dit misschien ook helpen. Er zijn altijd wel prutsers geweest die de lijmpot hanteerden.
Benieuwd of er andere ideeën zijn om 'gelijmde' dingen die niet waterbestendig zijn van het papier los te krijgen ... liefst zonder ongelukken.
Soms zijn de zegels belangrijk (meestal oude meuk ...), maar soms is ook het voordrukalbum belangrijk (een DAVO bv.).

Mij is ooit verteld, lang geleden (> halve eeuw) om zegels én een vochtige (niet té natte) spons in een afgesloten doos te bewaren. De hoge luchtvochtigheidsgraad doet dan de truc. Zelf nooit geprobeerd, hoor.
I was once told, long ago (& gt; half a century) to keep seals and a damp (not too wet) sponge in a sealed box. The high humidity does the trick. Never tried it myself.
