Kan ook zelf een sticker op een boek plakken, een radio in mijn volkswagen bouwen en zelf een jaargang Donald Duck in een map plakken, de conclusie omdat een dwaas hem naast officiele zegels op een envelope heeft geplakt als reden geven hij is mogelijk uitgegeven door de Italiaanse post is ronduit bizar. Sorry!!!

Het is geen aanname en al helemaal geen conclusie, ik noem het alleen als mogelijkheid die ik als leek niet uit zou sluiten. Heb jij reden te geloven dat het geen uitgave van de post was? Hoe kom jij tot de conclusie dat de verzender van die envelop een dwaas was? Ik geloof best dat jij er meer verstand van hebt, maar geef dan eens argumenten.

It is not an assumption and certainly not a conclusion, I only mention it as an possibility that I, as a layman, would not rule out. Do you have reason to believe that it was not a release of the post? How did you come to the conclusion that the sender of that envelope was a fool? I think you know more about it, but then give arguments.

Ik vond de reactie van Sinbad ook te fel. Respect voor je, hoe je zelf reageert. Op een aantal punten had je gelijk. Alleen bij de motivatie voor de laatste stelling/mogelijkheid deel ik de mening van Sinbad. Iedereen kan wat bijplakken op een brief met officiële postzegels. Dat maakt het bijgeplakte nog niet afkomstig van de postinstantie. Maar ik moet toegeven dat de zegels er behoorlijk professioneel uitzien. Dus wie weet heb je uiteindelijk toch gelijk. Alleen de motivatie klopt niet.

I also thought Sinbad's reaction was too fierce. Respect for you, how you react yourself. You were right on a number of points. Only in the motivation for the last statement / possibility do I share Sinbad's opinion. Anyone can add something to a letter with official stamps. Hoewel postzegels me over het algemeen koud laten begin ik nu toch wel nieuwsgierig te worden naar de herkomst van deze zegels, als ook de beheerder van Italië het niet weet.

Ik niet. Ik weet niet veel van de Italiaanse geschiedenis. Maar om Garibaldi verantwoordelijk te maken voor maffiose praktijken lijkt me wat onredelijk. Het is of je Willem van Oranje verantwoordelijk maakt voor Anton Mussert of de verzetsbewegingen in WOII voor de dwaze ideeën van Wilders.
En die beschaafde landen vallen waarschijnlijk ook wel tegen. Italië was een speelbal van grote mogendheden, als Frankrijk, Oostenrijk en meer op de achtergrond Pruisen en in mindere mate Engeland. De oorlogen die door hun gevoerd werden, zullen door de inwoners destijds echt niet als beschaafd beschouwd worden. En helaas waren de pauselijke opvattingen van menslievendheid in die tijd toch iets anders dan tegenwoordig. Als protestant of atheïst werd je echt niet beschaafd behandeld.

Not me. I don't know much about Italian history. But to make Garibaldi responsible for mafia practices seems a bit unreasonable to me. It is whether you make William of Orange responsible for Anton Mussert or the resistance movements in WWII for Wilders' foolish ideas.
And those civilized countries are probably also disappointing. Italy was a plaything of great powers, such as France, Austria and more in the background Prussia and to a lesser extent England. Jouw uitleg voor Sinbad zal helaas niet veel helpen.
Zoals gewoonlijk rijgt hij de onwaarheden aan elkaar wanneer hij zijn "geschiedkundige" uitleg bovenhaalt.
Gewoon een resem loze beweringen zonder verantwoording of nuancering: typisch voor uitingen van vreemdelingenhaat en racisme.
Geen enkele reactie van de forummoderators tot op heden.
In België kan men voor zulke uitspraken trouwens gestraft worden.

In het Nederlandse voetbal is het gebruikelijk om iemand die een gele kaart voor een ander vraagt er zelf een te geven..... Kan ik me heel goed voorstellen, want daar had ik in mijn jonge jaren als voetballer ook een hekel aan.
Ik kan me overigens meestal prima vinden in de uitlatingen en beweringen van Sinbad. Maar als ik het onterecht vind, zeg ik het ook. Daar hoeft geen moderator aan te pas te komen. Olie op het vuur gooien houd ik trouwens ook niet van.
