Menig verzamelaars zijn bekend met het afspeuren van talloze beurzen en markten, op zoek naar nieuwe items om hun verzamelcollecties aan te vullen. Een veelal offline bezigheid. De huidige trend is echter dat de Nederlander ook veelal online actief is. Met dit onderzoek wordt onderzocht hoe deze trend zich vertaald naar de verzamelbranche. Hoe ziet een week van de verzamelaar anno 2013 eruit?

Geachte mevrouw Entrop,
het idee is natuurlijk heel nobel, maar ik heb het idee dat het onderhand een opdracht voor een bepaalde studie is. Als u eens zoekt in het forum, dan zijn er diverse van zulke vragen voor onderzoeken gesteld.
Dat is niet verboden, maar ik heb het idee dat de CataWiki verzamelaar er een beetje genoeg van heeft en dat de respons niet erg hoog zal zijn. Wat waarschijnlijk wel erg veel informatie oplevert, is een directe mail naar de organisatie sturen: info@CataWiki.nl. Zij kunnen u vast verder helpen met meer informatie en desgevraagd misschien een enquete (we wachten nog steeds op een bepaalde enquete ;) ) onder de CataWiki leden houden. Een bericht van de organisatie wordt doorgaans niet als spam beschouwd.
Ik zal uw enquete invullen en ik hoop dat uw onderzoek veel leuke resultaten oplevert. Die zouden we dan uiteraard hier ook willen horen, want voor wat, hoort wat, nietwaar?

The idea is of course very noble, but I have the impression that it is now an assignment for a particular study. If you do a search in the forum, there are several such questions for surveys.
That is not forbidden, but I feel that the CataWiki collector is a bit fed up and that the response will not be very high. What probably yields a lot of information is to send a direct email to the organization: info@CataWiki.nl. They can help you with more information and, if requested, maybe hold a survey (we are still waiting for a particular survey;)) among the CataWiki members. A message from the organization is usually not considered spam.
I will complete your survey and I hope your research yields many nice results. We would of course also like to hear them here, because for what, is it for what, isn't it?
Allereerst bedankt voor het invullen van de enquête. Ik heb een tijd geleden contact opgenomen met info@catawiki.nl. De vraag naar de onderzoeken heb ik gesteld aan Tom, hij kon mij hier helaas niet verder in helpen. Vandaar dat mijn voorstel is geweest op een enquête te houden op jullie forum in de hoop op goed respons. Dit vondt hij een prima idee. Jammer vind ik het om nu te horen dat de verzamelaar hier genoeg van heeft, ik kreeg namelijk de indruk dat dit soort enquêtes nog niet eerder zijn gehouden, vandaar dat er ook geen resultaten beschikbaar zijn. Vooralsnog hoop ik dat het mensen wel stimuleert de enquête in te vullen en de mooie resultaten hier te kunnen delen, als deze ook representatief genoeg zijn. Bij deze het verzoek, wilt u de enquête wel invullen voor leuke resultaten. :)

First of all, thank you for completing the survey. A while ago I contacted info@catawiki.nl. I put the question about the studies to Tom, unfortunately he could not help me with this. That is why my proposal has been to conduct a survey on your forum in the hope of a good response. He thought this was a great idea. I think it is a pity to hear that the collector has had enough of this, because I got the impression that these kinds of surveys have not been conducted before, which is why no results are available. For the time being, I hope that it will stimulate people to fill in the survey and to be able to share the great results here, if they are also representative enough. With this request, you want to fill in the survey for nice results. :)

Ik denk dat de respons groter zal zijn als je uitlegt voor welk onderzoek de enquête precies bedoeld is, wie het uitvoert en wat er met de resultaten gebeurt.
Zo'n gratis enquêtesite wekt niet bepaald veel vertrouwen en de wat gammele introductietekst doet ook geen erg wetenschappelijke achtergrond vermoeden.
I think the response will be greater if you explain for what research the survey is intended for, who is conducting it and what is happens with the results.
Such a free survey site does not exactly inspire much confidence and the somewhat rickety introductory text does not suggest a very scientific background.
Verzamelaars zijn nu eenmaal meestal schuchtere mensen en niet iedereen wil over zijn verzameling praten.
Ik heb de enquête ingevuld en hij is inderdaad erg onpersoonlijk, dus je kan hem gerust invullen. Ik geef Boekenmagazijn helemaal gelijk dat het helpt als je wat duidelijker bent. Verder uiteraard erg benieuwd naar wat de resultaten zijn en wat je ermee gaat doen.
En wie is Tom ? Ik dacht dat ik het CataWiki team onderhand wel kende. Maar ze linken nu allemaal wel op vakantie.

I completed the survey and it is very impersonal indeed, so feel free to fill it in. I agree with Boekenmagazijn that it helps if you are more clear. Furthermore, of course very curious about the results and what you are going to do with them.
And who is Tom? I thought I knew the CataWiki team by now. But they all link on vacation now.
@Boekenmagazijn: Bedankt voor de tip. Dit onderzoek maakt deel uit van mijn afstudeeronderzoek. Het doel is om het onlinegedrag van verzamelaars in kaart te brengen. Interessant is om te peilen waar we nu staan en welke behoeften er liggen op online gebied. Omdat hier nog geen gegevens bekend over zijn (Ik heb ze niet gevonden en CataWiki beschikt hier ook nog niet over) betreft het dus een nulmeting. Met de uitkomsten wil ik tot bepaalde ideeën en oplossingen komen die de verzamelaar in de toekomst online kunnen ondersteunen. Uiteraard zal ik de resultaten hier in het forum met jullie delen!
@DisneyMeentwijc: Tom is inderdaad iemand van het CataWiki team. Ik heb met hem contact gehad en het idee om mijn onderzoek op het forum te plaatsen besproken. Gelukkig heb ik zijn goedkeuring gekregen!

@Boekenmagazijn: Thanks for the tip. This research is part of my graduation research. The goal is to map the online behavior of collectors. It is interesting to gauge where we are now and what needs there are in the online field. Because no data is known about this (I have not found it and CataWiki does not yet have it) it is therefore a baseline measurement. I want to use the results to arrive at certain ideas and solutions that can support the collector online in the future. Of course I will share the results with you here in the forum!
@DisneyMeentwijc: Tom is indeed one of the CataWiki team. I have been in contact with him and discussed the idea of posting my research on the forum. Luckily I got his approval!
