Hallo Iedereen,
Vriendelijke groeten ,
Alard.
Hello everyone,
Until last week I had a good experience buying a lot at the Catawiki auction. Bought a lot on Catawiki this week with "stamps". I can throw away 80% because they are no good. Cracks, corners off, teeth off, rust spots, don't think so crazy or it was there. 1 album looks reasonable. The rest of the moving box was filled with broken stock albums. I had put it in the trash, but apparently there are traders who think differently. Sell as many photos as possible. I do know that occasionally there is a seal that is not good, but not 80% of the content and returning is also not possible because the bidding is done at your own risk and if you are the lucky one with the final bid, you have to pay and wait and see what surprise you get get home. (19kg). Name is known to Rene who I have already sent a message otherwise I would have mentioned the dealer by name because such figures do not belong here because I will advise everyone not to bid for such figures because he will also be there at the upcoming auction. You have to have a little confidence when someone offers something at the auction, but this way I am careful. Have paid 302.00 euros with the costs. Have now paid 280.00 euros for old paper and that cannot be the intention of this fun hobby. So if you watch last week's auction you'll know exactly who I'm talking about.
Will therefore be very negative in the upcoming feedback.
Regards ,
Alard.
Hallo Alard,
Groeten,
Jos (veilingmeester postzegel- en muntenveiling)
Hello Alard,
Your message scares me a bit.
If you are dissatisfied with a purchase at the Stamp & Coin auction, please let me know. to make. Of course this cannot be done.
We think it is very important that buyers are satisfied with their purchases.
I think I know who the supplier has been and actually I only have good heard reports about his lots. This will have slipped in between and you should of course never or ever be the victim of it.
I am also convinced that we will find a good solution for this. The seller will certainly want to go along with this.
Would you like to contact me via the link at the auction, so that I can immediately start working on a solution to this problem?
Greetings,
Jos (auctioneer for stamp and coin auction)

@alard, veiling meester,
@alard, auction master,
I think I know who the provider has been and actually I have only heard good reports about his lots. This will have slipped in between and of course you should never be the victim of that.
alard I have already experienced that twice, which is why I no longer do anything through auctions, I am surprised that an auctioneer says that it slipped in between.
apparently that slipped through the window with the seller.
I thought that auctioneers always checked the trade first before it could be offered, slipping in between seems more like not paying attention to me, and that is quite different.
You simply cannot accept rubbish, and simply cannot be sold.
a seller knows what he is packing or selling, and he also looks before he puts it up for auction. so he looks at it 3 times, but still sells.
and then call that it slipped in between.
I agree with Alard, first all the pictures and then sell. or else to Marktplaats

@ Aart,
@ Aart,
I thought that auctioneers always checked the trade before it could be offered, slipping through it seems more like not paying attention, and that is quite different.
I want to stand up for the auction masters here anyway.
My experience is that the auctioneers do what they can, but that they too only have photos and descriptions available.
The lot in question was a huge bulk lot that was richly provided with photos. Given the weight of 19 kg, not all items will have been in the picture.
So it is really the seller's responsibility to properly inspect his lot.
My simple conclusion is that if Alard sees this, the seller should have noticed too.

a good seller just looks for a solution for this
eg the buyer sends everything back buyer gets money back including all costs
seller places the right thing album later if still up for auction or something

@Rikmooren,
@Rikmooren,
The lot in question was a huge bulk lot that was richly provided with photos. Given the weight of 19 kg, not all items have been in the picture.
the more sad it is that this bulk has been shipped after seeing it 3 times by the seller (add to auction, package and sell), and then also richly provided with photos , which apparently was also seen by the auctioneer.
lavishly also means that of the 19kg was apparently 15kg with photos, but still shipping. after all, alard indicates that more than 80% was pulp.
So it turns out that these 75% of photos should also have shown that pulp, both by the seller and the auctioneer.
@puurveen, that's a simple solution that you give, but that's not what this is about.
it should never have been included in the auction, a single stamp could still be possible, but not 80% of a sale .
Alard.
First of all, I do not want to blame the auctioneer, everything that can be seen in the photos looks reasonable and an auctioneer assumes that. It's about the rest. Especially the older stamps up to and including 1940, which still have some value, were 80% rubble. I am allowed to take a critical look and the seller knows that too.
I'll just wait and see what happens and I'll be sure to post the solution here as well.
Alard.
Beste lezers,
http://veiling.catawiki.nl/kavels/43039-nederland-en-overzee-grote-partij-met-veel-collecties
Dear readers,
I am the provider of this lot. Too bad it turned out that way. I would rather have the buyer contacted me directly about this.
First I would like to say the following: It is certainly not all pulp, as described. I took a lot of pictures to ensure that everyone got the best possible picture of the content. I don't even photograph rubbish and I wouldn't think that's correct either.
This is the auction:
http://veiling.catawiki.nl/kavels/43039-nederland-en-overzee-large-party-with-lot-collections
What is stated in the lot description is completely correct, I also mentioned that it also contains a number of "so-called youth collections" that I have deliberately not photographed. 1000 photos for a lot is impossible; certainly for the viewer/buyer, but also for myself.
I have sold several of these boxes on Catawiki and have always had very positive reactions. Once a buyer expected a little more MNH material and then I didn't bother and sent an extra box to the person in question. I sincerely hope that this person in question will also read along and post his experience with my boxes here.
Yet also just had a positive feedback from the box of the week before: http://veiling.catawiki.nl/kavels/40365-nederland-en-overzee-grote-party-met-collections-fdc-s-en- letters
I always do my utmost to describe my lot as clearly as possible and to offer it with enough photos, which I invest a lot of time by the way. I am by no means a trader who wants to split everything in everyone's stomach. The opposite even. I am also still a collector and I want my fellow collectors to always be able to enjoy their hobby.
But what I do think is very bad is that besides my stamp business I have no other source of income and that in this way (en publique) you can completely destroy someone. Precisely for this reason I always try to handle my affairs as neatly as possible, after all I depend on my clientele. So I would like people to think about this as well. Also on a colleague website I have a feedback of 24000 x 100% (!), but of course something goes wrong there too, so I also have 19 negative reviews there.
If I buy a T-shirt from a store and something is not right, I will of course go back to the store where I got it. Every company's motto should be: Not good, money back. That is also my motto. But I think the way in which the story is told is important. There can always be disagreement, but that can always be resolved. But standing in front of the store without any form of communication and advising everyone not to go in again is something I would never do myself. Although, perhaps only if the store in question refuses to take an item back. Personally, I think that communication between the buyer and me should have taken place. But unfortunately the buyer has not contacted me and it has to be done right away. Unfortunately.....
Of course I will take back the entire box if it does not meet the requirements. If necessary, I will look at the box with Jos the auctioneer and determine where the bottleneck was in this box. If we come across something that could have been better, I can include it in my other offers next time.
Sincerely, François Kalf (Stamp, and coin trade 'Kalf' )

@kalf, yes you will get that if you don't deliver good products.
if you want to prevent such a reaction, it turns out that this is due to careful sending of poor quality,
It's just what you say, "I don't even photograph rubbish and I wouldn't think that was correct myself" I would say don't put it in a box and don't ship it, but throw it away. if you want to keep your customers.
I am glad that it has been resolved in any case, with the comment "Of course I will take back the whole box if it does not meet the requirements"
but it did not may happen!
@ Alard, mind you, please contact seller first before going to the forum, I also assumed that had already happened at first, and that there was no response.

but it shouldn't have happened!
Fortunately, we are humans and not robots. People just make mistakes ...
I do not collect stamps and I do not know Francois Kalf at all, but I can only respect the way he wants to solve this and also wants to learn from it ...
Heb Meneer Kalf een bericht gestuurd .
Ik hou jullie op de hoogte.

I will keep you informed.
If this is resolved, then this entire contribution may be removed.
@Aartinge
@Aartinge
"calf, yes, that's what you get when you don't deliver good products."
I think this is a bit shortsighted. The product as it was photographed was entirely satisfactory. If I put together a box and it turns out that there is still a few centimeters of space left, then I do indeed sometimes put some material in it, which is in a large heap with us and which is not used. Because if you don't do that, there is a good chance that during shipping the top of the box will be quite damaged by other boxes on top, and that is not what I want to do to my customers. It will of course happen that there is something in the filling material that is not quite right. But this material is of course not mentioned at all in the lot description. Incidentally, I don't even know if that was the case with this lot. It may indeed seem so, but it was by no means my intention to defeat certain expectations with this filler material. It has only been the intention to describe and offer all photographed items as clearly as possible. And I'm just sure that everything I've photographed is fine.
And indeed, that would mean that I no longer have to give away free material with the boxes, but just air cushions as filling material. And if necessary, I can ask the customer in the future which filling material I can use. Concrete, air cushions or some extra albums with stamps. ;)
But indeed; wherever the fault lies, the way things are going right now, shouldn't have happened.
Greetings and have a nice weekend,

@ Rik, what kind of comment is this, it seems like a robot way, people do pay attention when they offer something, and also pay attention when they pack something, and also pay attention when they send it.
And don't forget the auctioneer.
in my opinion if you offer something and you pack it and send it, then in my opinion you have not been paying attention, and not paying attention is a robot act.
just throw in a box, offer it, and get rid of it.
at least that's how it comes across, and so in the sense "but it shouldn't have happened"

@Kalff, I'm actually done with it, but your response invites comments.
If I put together a box and it turns out that there is still a few centimeters of space left, then I do indeed sometimes put some material in it, which is in a large heap with us and which is not used.
As Alard describes it, it's the other way around, those few inches were good, and 80% was rubbish either poor quality, or as Alard himself says Debris
you want to soften the story to turn it around, and I resent that even more.
and what is even worse is the fact that you are also mocking it with the remark that you can fill it up with any concrete.
really a misplaced comment if there was just 80% rubble in it.

Not paying attention is a robotic act.
We think fundamentally different about this in the robotics department ...

@Rik, I'm talking about robot handling !!
not paying attention is a robot action.
A human can act like a robot, "just throw in a box, offer it and get rid of it."
and apparently that's what happened., and that I don't see it as making a mistake.
You cannot ignore 80% debris as Alard says as being a mistake.
That does not match your comment
A good Pro shop does not only distinguish itself by selling excellent products
The sellers and traders who distinguish themselves with excellent products do not necessarily have to To be a pro, it turns out.
but I think it is enough, it was nice to have to read how people react to this, and how people think about it.

@Rik, ik heb het over robothandeling!!
Ik ook (:-)
