Dear friends, I regularly come across stamps with the same image.
the perforation is the same, the watermark and the year are the same. and then it says by type variety.
as an example 2511611 and 2511621 .
everything is the same, only the Michel number is 86 and 86II.
that is all nicely devised type variety, but it is not clear to a collector if he uses a different catalog, and what the variety or difference is in Michel.
In that sense it is thought that everyone only works with a Michel.
it would be more sensible to indicate actually the difference is instead of just a number.
as I see it now, it is a duplicate, but perhaps the importers can provide clarification.
I myself have a gibbon, and yvert , and there are different seals of this seal, but they have different dates and different perforations here, and if When I enter it, there are suddenly 6 identical stamps, of which there are probably 3 too many.
Maybe this part can also be mentioned in Agreements about adding data, and that type variety, and whether another number is not sufficient .

beste Aaartinge,
groeten,
Dear Aaartinge,
1st number is not correct, I think you have forgotten a number.
greetings,

yes i see it, should be 2511611 , has already been modified.
aartinga
Micho
aartinga
You have a point here.
In case of special present, give the description or explanation. That is so practical and then it becomes even more fun.
Micho
aartinge is right with his comments.
The details have been added regarding the "type".
This makes this clearer for everyone, especially those who do not have the Michel catalog.
A Roman II in one of the titles is therefore superfluous.
Is dat wel zo???????????
Is that really the case ???????????
@RobAmse
@RobAmse
The stamps of 1911, already overprinted "REPUBLICA", were reprinted in 1921, changing the value.
This happened on the one hand in Lisbon (type I according to Michel) and on the other hand in London (type II according to Michel).
Yvert & Tellier also lists 20 different types regarding the spelling of "Centavo" or "Centavos" and the numbers themselves.
A background page for these stamps is urgently needed and will be made by me shortly.
What is absolutely impossible is to use the same image for both type I and II. This is incorrect and misleading.
The type "type variety" is also incorrect: since all stamps were issued in 1921, without a precise date. What type is the variety?
You have to make do with whatever belts you have.
Sorry, did I forget the base seal?

@Robamse,
@Robamse,
You have to row with the oars you have.
Sorry, did I forget the base seal?
?????
I think you don't understand it yet, and also has nothing to do with the base stamp from 1911
I have 2 entries here ( 2511689 Michel 92II) and ( 2511673 Michel 92)
And enter 2 more ( 2511655 Michel 88II) and ( 2511639 Michel 88)
for now the scans are the same, and no clear mention has been made of the differences between 92 and 92II and between 88 and 88II.
so clearly Duplicates.
no one can see what 88 should look like, and what 88II looks like as well. because Michel uses his own numbering.
so a difference must be mentioned, because the scans are also equal.
I hope you have not also applied this in other countries because then we have real problems.
because people who don't have michel just click on the image, and if it has to be changed again later because the correct stamp and info has not been placed. then I will forward them to you.
the correct scan is indeed important, because for non-collectors a London or Lisbon overprint means nothing, but only the picture is looked at.
The example can be traced back to the questions asked on the forum, "I can't find this stamp"
usually these are people who don't have a catalog and don't know the year, but are just looking for the picture.
Goh, de invoer is dus fout. Mijn fout dus.
Deze zegels zijn gereviewd. Mijn fout dus.
Deze zegels zijn MIchel. Mijn fout dus.
Aartinge kan altijd aardig stemming maken. Mijn fout dus.
Enkele zegels staan er al 10 maanden in. Mijn fout dus.
Mijn fout dus.
IK blijf lachen. Mijn fout dus.
Gosh, the input is wrong. My mistake.
These stamps have been reviewed. My mistake.
These stamps are MIchel. So my mistake.
Aartinge can always make a nice mood. My mistake.
Some stamps have been in there for 10 months. My mistake.
Always comment and keep making mistakes yourself. So my mistake.
I keep smiling. My mistake.

@robamse, I don't fully understand your response, even though they are there for 10 months, but if you add an item, it makes sense that you also add the correct scan.
more is not actually said, and it would be nice if there was something more described than just a difference of catalog numbers.
If you happen to have imported these stamps, so be it.
tomorrow I will meet other people again. or did you think you were the only one who makes mistakes. you don't want to know.
errors are also those oblique and convex scans that require a lot of work. there are 1000 of them if there are not more.
so you have no right to complain, it's just mistakes that can and must be said.
if you call that making a mood, those are your words.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and not everyone gets this wish.

It is important that you do not need another catalog for an item to see what is meant by which type. I think you now have enough space for that within the input fields, images and background info.
If a certain type of stamp is entered, then the correct image should also be included. If you don't have that seal, just don't enter it.
Could it be that a base stamp was accidentally created and also a variant?

@robamse,
@robamse,
in 1921 there is no basic stamp, if you want to know what those stamps look like then you have to go to 1911
but in fact it is not about this, it is about what you have entered for scan, and that there is not enough information other than just a number difference.
and just by mentioning this number difference you are also obliged to perform several scans and you didn't !!!
but your scans have already been removed.
Ja.
OEPS.
Omschrijf maar het typeverschil. Lachen.
Kortom het heeft mijn zege.
Yes. This is much clearer.
If you enter a basic stamp and a variant, you need 2 different stamps.
Oh yes of course this series is from 1911. OOPS.
Describe the type difference. Laugh.
In short, it has my victory.

Unfortunately, everything is right! In the Stanley Gibbons Elizabethan, say the SC, the numbers 1a and 2a are printed as roll stamps at the Belgian branch of the Waterlow printing company. So they are really two different stamps.

clean, it says perforation variation instead of the statement that this is a roller toothing.
the difference is simply not filled in.
I am again of the opinion that if it concerns a perforation variation, please also fill in the stamp 526159 into the perforation.
after all, the perforation is simply on the other stamp, so if there is another perforation, please fill in.
if it comes to stamp 1082617 to roller toothing, why is "roller toothing" not mentioned?
without going into detail ... different perforations have been used, one being the plain sheets and the other being the roll seals. The perforation must simply be specified for both stamps. I.e. 13 1/2: 14 for the sheets and 12 1/2: 14 for the rolls. What we call roller teeth in the Netherlands has nothing to do with this. Roll-toothing or syncopated perforation in English only exists at Nedelrand and Danzig.
I have adjusted a few things and hope it is now clear.

vandaar Doublure.
Rein, thank you for the changes you made.
you see it is clear now because before there was nothing but just 13½:14 on one seal.
stamp 1082617 did not mention a cylinder seal and no perforation.
hence Double.
