The Byrds
De band wilde een Amerikaanse tegenhanger zijn van The Beatles en The Rolling Stones. Hun muziek kenmerkte zich door het samenvoegen van verschillende stijlen zoals folk, country en rock. Belangrijke albums waren "The Notorious Byrd Brothers" en, hoewel aanvankelijk matig ontvangen, "Sweetheart of the Rodeo".
