Dinky's version of the classic Range Rover is quite a good effort and many prefer it over the Corgi version. This one has everything opening - doors, bonnet and the split tailgate. It also has movable seatbacks as well as jeweled headlights. There are also so many variations possible, that there should be one for every taste: Early models had cast wheels, from 1972 on, this changed to Speedwheels. It's been in 3 different boxes: Early ones were plain cardboard, later versions came in either a windowwed cardboard box or in a 'bubble box', as it's known: a plastic blister top covering a raised cardboard plinth base. There are different color options as well: bronze metallic, yellow or black, and if you're still not satisfied, the inerior can be either red, white, dark blue or pale blue. Still not enough choices? Then there's always the police, fire chief and ambulance versions to check! With a lifespan going from 1970 to 1981, it's obvious that there's still a lot of these around, which is good, if you wish to buy one... less good, if you're selling! If you're after rarities, go for the black version - much more scarce than the others! The yellow one is often sold as 'rare' on E-bay - if this is true, it's certainly not reflected in the value-guides at Toymart.com - here the bronze and yellow versions are rated exactly the same.
