Reprinting William Gaines' EC comic books, issues #1-5 of each title in b / w with beautiful color reproductions of the original covers inside and on the hardcoverbooks / slipcase covers. 1955, EC launched new titles, Impact, M.D & Valor, the concluding part of Cochran's Complete New Direction (fifteen issues in total). Impact, 5 issues in 1 volume, continues the shock or mystery style stories with covers and stories by Jack Davis, Reed Crandall, Graham Ingels, Joe Orlando & George Evans. The first issue is famous for Krigstein's haunting and disturbing Master Race, wherein a holocaust survivor meets his former captor on a New York subway train. M.D, 5 issues in 1 volume, was the second foray into the medical genre, with stylish covers by Craig & interior stories by EC's regular artists. Valor, 5 issues in 1 volume, is another highlight of EC's New-Direction series. The covers were illustrated by Wally Wood & Al Williamson, with interiors by them, plus Graham Ingels, Krigstein, Reed Crandall & others.
