Nou, hier is hij dan, een mooie auto Black and Claret-versie met de kentekenplaat NLT1. De eerste van haar vijf DS420's werd in mei 1970 gekocht - auto nr. 1M1559 (Vanden Plas job nr. 12493). Toen haar auto het einde van de productielijn naderde, bezocht ze de fabriek om de voltooiing te zien en om overeenstemming te bereiken over enkele van de fijnere ontwerpdetails. “When we first announced the launch of the Daimler Ds420, there was a lot of talk over whether we would release the Queen Mothers Daimler. Well here it is, a lovely car Black and Claret version carrying the registration plate NLT1.
The first of her five DS420s was purchased in May 1970 - car no 1M1559 (Vanden Plas job no. 12493). When her car was approaching the end of the production line, she visited the factory to watch its completion and to agree some of the finer design details. The cars is very recognisable carrying the Royal Coat of Arms.”
