Maroon. Onderdeel van Set BR 1002 Gebaseerd op de Austin A40 sedan-reeks, geïntroduceerd in 1947, verscheen deze 10cwt-bus voor het eerst in 1949 en was voorzien van de nieuwe 1200cc, OHV-motor die de basis vormde van alle BMC B-serie motoren na de fusie van Austin en Nuffield Group in 1952. Hoewel de vorm van de A40-sedan in de loop der jaren werd gewijzigd en uiteindelijk in 1958 werd vervangen door de hoekige Farina-styling, bleef de busvorm gedurende de hele productieperiode in zijn oorspronkelijke vorm. Based on the Austin A40 saloon car range, introduced in 1947, this 10cwt van first appeared in 1949 and featured the new 1200cc, OHV engine which formed the basis of all BMC B-series engines following the 1952 merger of Austin and Nuffield Group. Although the shape of the A40 saloon was altered over the years and eventually replaced by the angular Farina styling in 1958, the van shape continued in its original form throughout the production life.
