Green (=VA13000) In 1959, a small Austin car took the world by surprise with its ingenuity, performance and economy. Christened the Austin Se7en, it was the revolutionary concept of Alec Issigonis. A second version of the car arrived simultaneously – the Morris Mini-Minor, which gave both the popular name ‘Mini’. The 1959 Austin Se7en had a transversely mounted 847cc, 4 cylinder OHV engine and was distinguishable from the Morris by the wavy pattern on its grille. From its launch in 1959 to the cessation of production at Longbridge, Birmingham on 4th October 2000, a total of 5.387.862 Austin 7 Minis were produced. Non-limited edition; issued in cardboard Vanguards box. Labelpack for registration See VA01300R for this model issued plinth mounted in acrylic display (registration RCK 288C)
