Voor mij staat een persdossier het best bij het album zelf, een versie B of C met als bijlage het dossier. De vermelding ‘persdossier’ zou dan staan bij de soort uitgave.
Het probleem op de site is dat je nog niet kunt zoeken in de uitgave of albuminfo, de persdossiers zijn dus niet terug te vinden. De meeste gebruikers veranderen die dan naar de albumreeks ‘persdossiers’ met behoud van nummer. In mijn gevoel klopt het ook niet maar met de huidige zoekmogelijkheden is dit voorlopig de enigste oplossing denk ik.
Het probleem is natuurlijk dat de serie niet vermeld is maar gelukkig kom je al een heel eind met de foto’s.
For me, a press file is best with the album itself, a version B or C with the file attached. The mention "press file" would then appear next to the type of release.

Peter: wat kun je precies niet vinden via de zoekbalk? Als je nu op “pers” of “Persdossier” zoekt vind je onder albumreeksen de link “Persdossiers” naar alle persdossier die nu inderdaad bij die albumreeks zijn gezet (kan vanaf nu bij de nieuwe soort). Of bedoel je zoeken in wat in vrije tekst is ingevuld in het Bijzonderheden veld?
De serie is bij alle persdossiers voor zover ik kan zien wel goed ingevuld via het verhaal. Bij de serie staan de persdossiers dus ook gewoon. Heb je een voorbeeld waar de serie niet is vermeld?

Persdossiers worden heel vaak los verzonden, zonder het album, Peter.
Je kunt het dus bijna nooit zien als een ‘album met persdossier’.
Dat persdossier zou om die reden gewoon een los item moeten blijven.
Behalve natuurlijk als er een ‘perseditie’ is van een album, zoals in het verleden bij ‘Vrije vlucht’ vaak voorkwam.
Maar die staan ook echt als b in de lijst, voor zover ik weet.

Een persdossier is meestal ter gelegenheid van een album en als je naar de persvoorstelling komt krijg je het album er meestal ook bij. Naar mijn gevoel blijft een perdossier een onderdeel vormen van het album of het nu los opgestuurd is of niet, maar dat blijft interpretatie en beide systemen zijn bruikbaar.
Rene, ik bedoelde inderdaad bij de albuminfo, een persdossier opnemen als soort is alvast een goeie oplossing want nu is het ten minste terug te vinden al is het allemaal in 1 grote lijst.
A press file is usually on the occasion of an album and when you come to the press presentation you usually get the album with it. I feel that a personal file remains a part of the album whether it is sent separately or not, but that remains interpretation and both systems are usable.
Rene, I did mean with the album info, including a press file as a species is already a good solution because now it can at least be found even though it is all in 1 big list.
