Absolutely not. I think this is the maximum price that is achievable for that strip. Of course you have to add 9%. Are you still around 4000 €. For many this is an unattainable price. So the sky.

By the way, I talked to a number of people about it this weekend and they told me that Tintin (even though very nice prices are still being achieved) is a bit on its return . But that is all time-bound. At the moment Suske en Wiske is very "in" and when I look at the Catawiki auction on Monday I notice the high prices of the Nero comics. A few years ago these were still difficult to sell.

Anyway ... everything is for reading, otherwise you might as well start collecting stamps.

Enne... alles is om te lezen, anders kun je net zo goed postzegels gaan verzamelen.

Voor mij ook, maar als je een album koopt voor veel geld dat al meer dan 40 jaar geen krasje heeft opgelopen, zou ik het ook zonde vinden als ik de eerste pummel was die dat na 40 jaar beschadigde.

Daarom koop ik geen oude albums in nieuwstaat. Dat scheelt me een pak geld en dan schaam ik me niet om ze lekker te lezen. Al ben ik er dan ook nog voorzichtig mee.

 

Een volledige reeks zou ik ook nooit kopen, dat doet het woord 'verzamelen' een beetje onrecht aan.

Album van woensdag waar ik naar uitkijk is het Piwo- album van Vandersteen. Mooi beschadigd! Toch nog mooi en toch nog om te lezen. Voor mij een goede combinatie ... als de prijs niet te hoog gaat.

Me too, but if you buy an album for a lot of money that hasn't had a scratch in over 40 years, I'd also think it a shame if I were the first lout to damage it after 40 years.

That's why I don't buy old albums in mint condition. That saves me a lot of money and then I'm not ashamed to read them nicely. Although I am still careful with it.

I would never buy a complete series either, that does the word 'collect' a little injustice.

Wednesday's album I'm looking forward to is Vandersteen's Piwo album. Beautifully damaged! Still beautiful and still readable. For me a good combination ... if the price does not go too high.

Stamps? Are those things not to stick on letters?

And if you still want to read that story in its original form, buy a facsimile. That costs € 20.

ps. those Piwo albums have also been bundled and reprinted. Very nice edition by the way. If you still want to spend 300 or more euros on the original that may or may not be damaged, you are a collector, whether you like it or not.

Heb toch nog steeds mijn vraagtekens bij dit kavel...?

550 euro geboden? dat is alweer 18 euro gemiddeld.

Prachtig dit.. maar de staat heb ik mijn twijfels over.

Nummer 1 is beschadigt en dat is nou net de moeilijkste.

 

 

5. Asterix 1 t/m 33 - Complete serie - sc - 1e druk - (1966 / 2005)Bijna nieuwstaat

Erg mooie verzameling. 

Alle Asterix boekjes in eerste druk en bijna nieuwstaat. Perfect bewaard gebleven. 

Alleen bij nr. 1 een streepje over de cover ( In Hilversum noemen we dat een kras! ) en bij nr. 10 een kleine beschadiging aan de onderzijde van de rug. Zie foto's. ( dus geen bijna nieuwstaat )

Zijn de delen ook echt allemaal 1e druk is mijn vraag dan? Romeinse jaartallen die moeten overeenstemmen en deel 1 is die van de rycker?

 

Ben benieuwd waar dit eindigt?

This is beautiful.. but I have my doubts about the condition.

Number 1 is damaged and that's the hardest one.

Very nice collection.

All Asterix booklets in first edition and in near mint condition. Perfectly preserved.

Only no. 1 has a stripe across the cover (in Hilversum we call that a scratch!) and no. 10 has minor damage to the bottom of the spine. See pictures. (so not near mint condition)

Are the parts really all 1st edition is my question? Roman dates that must match and part 1 is that of the rycker?

No doubt that I am a collector. But I'd rather buy an album for 300 euros that I can read with confidence than a mint condition that costs three times as much and I don't dare to get out of the closet.

And if you like that story still want to read in its original form, buy a facsimile.

Well, but it feels different, smells different, doesn't look the same and has a lot less charm. Nothing as beautiful as an album that someone received from Saint Nicholas during the war years during the paper shortage. Very happy with the exceptional gift, always carefully read and cherished so that the album still looks beautiful, but read.

Grab that album, think of that happy face from then, smell it again, a let a sip of spirit drink in and sink a little deeper into your seat by the warm stove. Let those dark cold months come for me, I'm ready!

Neen, je overdrijft niet.  Dat gevoel heb ik ook dikwijls.  Zolang je dat kunt behouden is (en blijft) het de moeite waard.

Succes met het bieden op die Piwo.  Heb zelf deel 1 en 3 en je mag van mij aannemen dat het zeer kwetsbare (fragiele) boekjes zijn. Dus deel 2 heb ik dus niet, zal niet tegen je op gaan bieden, wil je dat donkere-koude-maanden-gevoel niet ontnemen.

No, you are not exaggerating. I often have that feeling too. As long as you can keep that, it is (and remains) worth it.

Good luck bidding on that Piwo. Have parts 1 and 3 yourself and you can assume from me that they are very vulnerable (fragile) booklets. So I don't have part 2, won't bid against you, don't want to deprive you of that dark-cold-months feeling.

There are some that I would like in new condition (I am building a money box ...), But otherwise: if it is really a new condition then you do not dare to unfold it, because the back could sometimes crack

Of course we are all curious about what Zwendel is looking for in new condition (this is of course about experiences.) and also like the how, the why, etc.

And as indicated earlier, do you buy that comic (assume that this is a comic here.) to read or to put in a cupboard and occasionally take hold and cherish and ...
