Ik heb hem een half jaar geleden nog bij Beo in A'pen gezien in (bijna) nieuwstaat maar durfde niet naar de prijs te vragen. Prachtig album was dat!

Six months ago I saw it at Beo in A'pen in (near) new condition, but I was afraid to ask for the price. That was a great album!
Vandaag toegekregen. Viel me enorm mee qua staat. Dat zijn echt van die geweldig fragiele boekskes, zoals de eerste Buck Danny's, de eerste Lucky Lukes ed. Probeer ze maar eens te vinden in die staat. Ben dus weer zeer tevreden. Zou zeggen, op naar devolgende, maar zoveel mis ik niet meer dus... afwachten.

Those are really those wonderfully fragile books, like the first Buck Danny's, the first Lucky Lukes, etc. Just try to find them in that condition. So I am very satisfied again. I'd say, on to the next, but I don't miss that much anymore so ... wait and see.

Heb ook gehoord dat op de Gentse stripbeurs de (vraag)prijzen van de Nero's door het dak gingen. Hoe zou dat komen??? Maar of er effectief iets werd verkocht? Dit soort zaken kan ook een negatieve weerslag hebben op het stripgebeuren. Heb verschillende Nero verzamelaars gehoord die bijzonder ontgoocheld waren en die eraan dachten om ermee te stoppen.

I also heard that the (asking) prices of the Nero's went through the roof at the Ghent comic fair. How could that be ??? But whether something was actually sold? These kinds of things can also have a negative impact on the comics business. Have heard several Nero collectors who were particularly disappointed and who were thinking of quitting.

Zat net zeer geïnteresseerd te kijken naar kavel 149 van woensdag. Le Sceptre d'Ottokar uit 1941. In de beschrijving staat dat de rug hersteld is door een professioneel restaurateur. Wat mij opvalt is dat de rug volledig is vervangen, dus van herstellen (gebruik maken van orgineel materiaal) is hier geen sprake. Vervangen (gebruik maken van geen orgineel materiaal of vreemd materiaal) is totaal iets anders. Of zie ik dat verkeerd?

Was just very interested to look at lot 149 from Wednesday. Le Scepter d'Ottokar from 1941. The description states that the back was repaired by a professional restorer. What strikes me is that the spine has been completely replaced, so there is no question of repairing (using original material). Replacement (using no original material or foreign material) is something completely different. Or am I wrong?

Denk niet dat er ooit een Jommeke veiling komt. Wat ga je erin steken? De eerste 3 Halewijntjes in nieuwstaat, de eerste 10 Ons Volkske uitgaven en wat orginele platen. Die zullen mooie prijzen halen. Maar voor de rest... kan je geen veiling mee vullen.
@JozefK. 0N4U? Denk het niet, ben ook maar een nummer zoals iedereen. Ben inderdaad aan het meebieden. Wat het gaat worden weet ik nog niet, zal zoals steeds inspiratie zijn van het moment. Het is natuurlijk net voor de kerstperiode en veel mensen (onder wie ik) gaan natuurlijk skieën. Dus voor mij een slecht moment.
En inderdaad, de tijd van de koopjes zijn gedaan, als die er ooit geweest zijn. De laatste tijd nog een aantal mooie zaken gekocht bij de sjops, de veiling op zich volg is niet meer zo. Enkel als er nog eens zeer mooie zaken te rapen zijn. Zoek natuurlijk ook niet meer zo veel. (Gooi eens een Steven Sterk 2 op de veiling aub!!!)
Maar ja, buiten de veiling zijn er natuurlijk ook de shops en als je echt gaat zoeken kom je daar nog mooie dingen tegen. Heb wel de indruk dat het aanbod een beetje aan het afnemen is. (Het mooie aanbod wel te verstaan). Misschien ga ik ooit zelf wel een sjop openen. De 0N4USjop. (Ze zouden hier eigenlijk ook een soort smilie versie op het forum moeten integreren, die van Bonte vind ik toch wel tof, breekt zo een beetje de tekst).
Maar in 2013 gaan we d'r weer "vollen bak" tegenaan.

Don't think there will ever be a Jommeke auction. What are you going to put in it? The first 3 Halewijntjes in mint condition, the first 10 Ons Volkske editions and some original records. They will fetch great prices. But for the rest ... you can't fill an auction with it.
@JozefK. 0N4U? Don't think so, am just a number like everyone else. I am indeed bidding. I don't know yet what it will be, as always will be the inspiration of the moment. It is of course just before the Christmas period and many people (including me) of course go skiing. So for me a bad time.
And indeed, the time of the bargains is done, if ever there have been. Recently bought a number of nice things at the sjops, the auction itself is no longer the case. Only if there are very good things to be picked up. Of course, don't look so much anymore. (Throw a Steven Sterk 2 up for auction please !!!)

Robbedoes/Dupuis heeft altijd wat in de schaduw gestaan van Kuifje/Casterman/Lombard.
Beetje ten onrechte. Robbedoes en Johan en Pirrewiet zijn wel bij de allerbeste. Baard en Kale, Guus Slim en Lucky Luke ook, maar ik heb Zwendel daar een mep op zijn achterhoofd gegeven om die niet te verzamelen. Steven Sterk mmmhhhh?
En ik ga niet op skivakantie, heb nog nooit een been gebroken en wil dat zo houden ;-)

Slightly wrong. Spirou and Johan and Peewit are among the very best. Beard and Bald, Guus Slim and Lucky Luke too, but I slapped Scam on the back of the head there to avoid collecting them. Steven Sterk mmmhhhh?

De moeilijkheid is enigszins om op dat moment verzekerd te zijn van kwalitatief goede en voldoende kavels.

Nu het einde van het jaar met rasse schreden nadert vroeg ik me af of er mensen zijn die goede voornemens hebben, natuurlijk liefst op stripgebied.
Zal zelf even mijn goed voornemen met jullie delen.
Aangezien ik toch al wel een tijdje bezig ben met Franstalige strips, maar da's een schier oneindig verzamelgebied, was ik van plan om de rest van de Franstalige strips die ik nog niet heb toch wel te gaan oppikken volgend jaar en de volgende jaren. Ik denk hierbij voornamelijk aan Asterix (mis ik er nog een stuk of 6, en dat zijn dan voornamelijk de Pilote uitgaven), Spirou (da's een ander paar mouwen) en natuurlijk de Franse Buck Danny's, Blauwe Sperwers en de andere topreeksen van Dupuis. Voor de rest ga ik ook nog aktief (aktiever) op zoek naar de Spaanse, Engelse en Duitse Tintins met linnen rug in eerste druk (Quasi niet te vinden, maar ze bestaan!).
Ben hier eigenlijk op dit forum wel veel aan het delen met jullie, maar ik wil gewoon dat iedereen een beetje zicht krijgt (stripveiling ervaringen - wat speelt er in het hoofd van de verzamelaar) waar een verzamelaar mee bezig is.

Since I've been working on French-language comics for a while now, but that's an almost infinite collection area, I was planning to pick up the rest of the French-language comics that I don't have yet anyway next year and the following years. I am thinking mainly of Asterix (I miss about 6 more, and those are mainly the Pilote editions), Spirou (that's a different pair of sleeves) and of course the French Buck Danny's, Blue Sparrowhawks and the other top series of Dupuis. For the rest, I will also actively (more actively) look for the Spanish, English and German Tintins with linen back in the first edition (Hardly to find, but they exist!).
Actually on this this forum is sharing a lot with you guys, but I just want everyone to get a little bit of insight (comics auction experiences - what's on in the mind of the collector) what a collector is doing.

Heb dit jaar al diverse stukken op de veiling verworven.

voor de pure essentie moet je bij u zijn. Zeker zeer belangrijk dat het stripklimaat goed blijft. Heb al vernomen van allerlei stripspeciaalzaken dat de omzet er zeker niet op vooruit gaat. Misschien volgend jaar beter.
En inderdaad is een goede gezondheid en leef plezier zeer belangrijk.
Ik wens u daarom een veeel betere omzet voor volgend jaar en een goede gezondheid en leefplezier (wat u volgens mij toch al wel hebt.)
