Don't they work on any DVD player, eg laptops?

It says with that one game that you need the remote control to play. I don't have a remote control on my laptop or PC.

Now I don't have such a game at all, so I'm not 100% sure. And it won't be a popular game either, but who knows, who knows.

The section title can always be changed.

When I think of an Amiga, I always think about games, even when I had a 2000 (or have? I have to clean up the attic ...)

Isn't it more logical to make Amiga out of it, without the type designations? As with the C64 / 128 or all Videopac.

The oldest games were mostly V-scrollers. Space Harrier for example and also a lot of Commodore games.

I think there's a lot to be said for that. It's a bit like PC (DOS/Windows) games. The more recent games are also not playable on older machines due to system requirements and we don't discriminate there either.

However, I don't know enough about the Amiga (never worked with it) to say anything definitive about it.

@fazerco: The examples you quote are from a later period and the games are all for sale in separate packaging. I think the DVD games (I think Cluedo, for example, was such a game, but not the version from the Games section) were for sale in a separate jewel case.

The only DVD game that I have in the Catalog was this and this of the the same publisher. I found them under the keyword DVD game.

I will also check my storage for DVD games.

I also think the generalization is useful, so Amiga, Videopac, and so on. If it is only the memory, then it is just a kind of system requirement and with the PC video games we do not place them separately.

I see that often with you. But if you do it faster for a moment, we may be able to determine via a rear scan with which you can play them. So only the DVD player for TV, or also PC / laptop.

I'm new here, so I might overlook it - but what I find odd is that there is no 'computers' category in the catalog.
Now I have to look for that at Video games, when there are plenty collectors of old / retro computers are (like me) that weren't meant for gaming.

And yes, I miss the Amigas like the 1000, 2000 etc etc - so these are not gaming computers (although you can you play games on it)
Have already seen that I cannot add it myself - I can add items, but no platform.

I would like to help with it if necessary because I know quite a bit about it (cough ).

Het is iets dat ook al vroeger ter sprake gekomen is. Computers verdient zeker een aparte rubriek. BIj Video Games worden in principe enkel de 'spelcomputers' opgenomen.

Momenteel is er wel een rubriek 'Computers' in 'Overig'

Bedoeling van die rubrieken in 'Overig' is dat zodra zij voldoende 'groot' zijn, zij een 'volwaardige' rubriek worden. Misschien kan je daar beginnen of eens contact opnemen met één van de superbeheerders van Catawiki.

It is something that has been discussed before. Computers certainly deserve a separate section. With Video Games, in principle only the 'game computers' are included.

There is currently a section 'Computers' in 'Other'

The purpose of those sections in 'Other' is that as soon as they are sufficiently 'large', they become a 'full-fledged' section. Maybe you can start there or contact one of Catawiki's super admins.

But .. with all due respect to everyone who has put the effort into this .. it is quite messy.
Suddenly I have computer books and software in between the computers are standing and I see game consoles coming back that are also included with the video games (which do not belong there either because a console is not a game).

It cannot be that difficult to create a clear classification if necessary, let them follow the example of Marktplaats.

Ja inderdaad het is daar een rommeltje omdat eigenlijk niemand zich er tot nu serieus mee beziggehouden heeft.

Neem misschien toch maar beter eerst even contact met de catalogusverantwoordelijken van Catawiki voor je er teveel tijd insteekt.

Ben niet meer zo op de hoogte wie alle superbeheerders zijn, Arco en Jilles zeker.

Yes indeed it is a mess there because no one has actually taken it seriously until now.

It might be better to first contact the Catawiki catalog managers before you spend too much time on it.

Not so aware anymore who all the super admins are, Arco and Jilles certainly.
