The leak has been closed! When duplicates are removed and new entries are rejected, those items also disappear from the search engine. The clutter left over from the last few weeks will disappear after the next re-indexing and we'll do it as soon as the ISBN search is up and the filters are restored.

Search by ISBN also seems to be fixed. And also problem with the filters has been addressed. Now check what goes wrong with searching on certain numbers. Then we will re-index everything again so that the solutions become visible to everyone. Would be a great start to 2018 ...

Okay folks, the time has come. We think we have solved all probs. All that is needed now is a complete re-index of all 3,500,000+ items. We will start with that this afternoon. Until that job is done, new items will not be found; we have to live with that for a few days. So use the galleries to check for new items during that period.

We are happy to announce the birth of a new search index. The filter bar on the left with accompanying popup selection has been restored, searching for (parts of) ISBNs and other number-like fields is working again. Last deleted items are now really gone. And more optimizations ... Welcome!

We've been very busy with it for the last 2 months, with expertise from multiple angles. Live testing is of course the most fun and today's results have been excellent so far, also in terms of speed. We can move forward with this for the time being.
