That's just as funny as the fact that I accidentally regularly type in sick machine during email exchanges ... (;-)

I'm not sure if this is due to the new search engine, but I've had for a while that I can't filter further within a search result.

When I search at the top of the webpage within the catalog, I get a screen with results.

On the left side you will find the various options for further filtering (including Catalog headings, series / hero, publisher, etc.). With all these options there is a 'more' option, in which you used to be able to filter further on a search term. Now this filter screen still appears, but if you place a search term in it, no results will appear.

In the past, the results immediately appeared in a separate list so that you could see how many different results to the search term meet (with the number of items that fell under that term). Now it doesn't show anything, and pressing enter has no effect.

I tested this on both Edge and IE.

The above problem is getting on my nerves by now.

I usually get there with a detour, but this annoying bug takes a lot of extra time every time.

It makes me gallic too, and pisses about it every week. Heard yesterday that it is now being picked up quickly and by whom. The last month everything was in any case on its hole due to vacation. And I do need an expert.

It depends on which category you search and with which keywords. What you describe doesn't have to be wrong. In fact, I suspect it's completely okay.

We are building a new index based on about 3,500,000 items. After that, the items that have been added / changed since this afternoon will be indexed. It could therefore be that those additions / changes are not immediately visible in the search engine. The galleries will work normally.

Vandaag 7 stripboeken gekocht bij Atomik. Als ik de boeken wil toevoegen aan mijn verzameling kan ik 6 boeken niet vinden in de catalogus als ik op titel zoek.
Als ik via Atomik het Catawikinummer kopieer en vervolgens op dat nummer zoek, dan kan ik het boekje wel vinden.

For information:
Bought 7 comic books at Atomik today. When I want to add the books to my collection, I cannot find 6 books in the catalog when I search by title.
If I copy the Catawiki number via Atomik and then search for that number, I can find the booklet.

This can only happen if it concerns books that have been entered in the catalog in the last 7 or 8 days. We are re-indexing the entire catalog due to urgent search engine improvements. Indexing takes quite some time ...

A lot of bugs in the new search engine have been fixed. Maarten 't Hart is found again. Raf Walschaert also if you only search for the first letters of his name. And 'The 7 crystal balls' is no longer a problem either. Non-existing items are now really gone. Details are searchable again. And empty staging areas are no longer shown.

The best news is that you can again search for Story and Track at Strips en Platen. (;-)

Very good and useful news; a.o. searching for duplicates now no longer produces incorrect items.

We are not quite done yet, but I thought it was good to report the standings ... We are going into the weekend positively.

I cannot filter on anything further within the search result.

That's right. That went wrong and is now apparently temporarily switched off until it goes well again. I'll check on Monday.

What has at least been fixed today are the aliases. These are again fully or partially visible behind the catalog headings.

Of the 13 duplicates has been added in the meantime) I had removed 11 of them on Friday night (by merging), but they will not disappear from the search results ...

That's right. Problem is not gone yet, but old stuff is. The good news is that the cause has probably been found today.

Keep an eye out for duplications that are now stuck. We have to remove it manually.

Since the last change, there is something wrong with the order in which results are displayed

If I search for the title Rot for Rotterdam, it only appears on the next page and there are titles before where those words not even stand

I thought I noticed something like this yesterday. Reported it.

With everything, it looks like Donald Duck 51, Jan, Jans and the children 7 ... works fine again!

Searching for all those Series and Series with hyphens in them and with only one letter in front, like X-Men, works again.
