A French-speaking Belgian has bid on one of my lots through the sports memorabilia auction. It concerns a lot with 2 old Formula 1 images, both signed by the artist Andrea del Pesco. After delivery I get negative feedback because this French-speaking Belgian probably didn't read it or didn't read it correctly. He accuses me of scam because he did not get signed images of the 2 drivers. I also explicitly did not offer this, in the auction description it is very clear that it concerns 2 works signed by the artist Andrea del Pesco. This man is guilty of defamation and is affecting my now carefully constructed name on Catawiki. In addition, he robbed me of my 100% positive feedback. Surely it cannot be the case that all this is allowed just like that. What can I do about it ? It concerns this auction:

if the buyer has only read the headline then you can also read it in such a way that clark and rindt have signed better for the word (of) the word (by using) and leaving out 30x40cm in between and putting this at the end

if I read this quickly or I am not quite proficient in the language then aha drawing by pesco originally signed by rindt and clark

but try it at the auctioneer at Ali and it worked.

I've already raised the matter with the auctioneer. However, he is currently enjoying a well-deserved vacation and you can expect someone to read the text of what is on offer. In addition, the photos also show 2 clear signatures of the artist, also dated 2014, while both drivers passed away many years ago. What matters to me is that as a seller you are at the mercy of the gods how well or badly a buyer reads an ad. You can just be called a scammer or scammer because a buyer read with his nostrils and didn't look at the photos. This is already the 3rd time that I have to deal with this and I am really disappointed.

How can an auctioneer go on vacation when his head is still happily above the current auction ? (This also applies to providers of lots.)

Have you tried to approach the buyer (in French) to ask them to adjust the feedback because of a misunderstanding? In my opinion, the photos clearly show that the drivers did not sign, so this must have been a snap bid in the last minute without realizing what is being bid on.

Certainly, however, no response was returned from this buyer.

So frustrating. You take lots of clear pictures and describe exactly what a buyer can expect and you are still called a scammer by such an ignorant ... As if he wants to take his own frustration of not reading a lot description on me. I'm really fed up with this.

@Bookstore
~~ How can an auctioneer go on vacation when his head is still over the current auction? (This also applies to providers of lots.)

Auctioneers are ordinary people who also have holidays. The auction has been compiled by this auctioneer and the questions are answered by colleagues.

Sellers do not know exactly when their lot will be put up for auction, it may take some time depending on the offer.

so this must have been a last minute bite snap bid

The bid was placed Friday 27-06-2014 17:37:29

The auction ended on Thursday, July 3 just after 8:00 PM.

The buyer is just an idiot. The feedback will undoubtedly be removed.

(Edit: has now been converted to neutral, I just saw.)

@Tammo: Of course an auctioneer is allowed to go on vacation, but if this kind of problem can't be handled by a deputy, then you get these (unnecessary) public discussions on the forum

I also understand that sellers want to go on vacation, but buyers will not expect to wait ten days for their purchase to be shipped. Moreover - even if it is stated in the Shop (not in the lot description) - this is formally in conflict with the Terms of Use (art. 4.9). I wouldn't be surprised if this leads to a few more less than nice feedbacks...
