Under the tab catalog sections, the search engine indicates 4 sections where swordfish are located but not the section comics ...

Under the tab catalog items I can eventually find them if I first struggle through the cigar bands, trading cards, stamps and figurines.

The search engine is definitely faster and I am also excited about the catalog items display.

What I regret is that the filter function is gone. When I am in the comics section, I only want to see comics for a searched item and not all items from all sections that match the keyword I am searching for.

Huisstijl van Catawiki is gewoonweg prachtig. Ook de layout wordt steeds beter. Goed gekozen kleuren en fonts die professionaliteit en betrouwbaarheid uitstralen. Het zwarte info veld onderaan de website geeft ook meer duidelijkheid aan de website en oogt heel "gelikt". De website ziet er daardoor inderdaad veel frisser uit.
Naast het oude Giroblauw (bekend bij de oudere jongeren onder ons) gaat volgens mij "Catawiki blauw"  nog eens een begrip worden :-)

Zwarte Headers op o.a. home pagina
De keuze voor de enorme fontgrootte (.36 ?) van de grote zwarte headers heeft me verbaasd en is naar mijn mening "overkill". Deze is veel te groot en doet afbreuk aan de professionele uitstraling van de website. Design technisch ziet het er ook niet mooi uit. Of het moet zijn dat Catawiki de slechtzienden onder ons wil faciliteren :-). 
Deze fontgrootte Is ook niet consequent in lijn met de rest van de website. En geeft daardoor een onrustig beeld, wat niet nodig is. Een kleinere header grootte van bijvoorbeeld .22 is groot, functioneel en duidelijk genoeg. Dit oogt ook gewoonweg moderner, minder schreeuwerig  en meer eigentijds.

De zegswijze: "less is more" is hier zeker op zijn plaats.

Gelijke grootte en resolutie foto's
Wat ook een onrustig beeld geeft is het feit dat de afbeeldingen op de homepagina van een verschillend formaat zijn, daardoor verspringen en soms onscherp zijn.

Het zou mooier en rustiger ogen als in iedergeval op de homepage alle foto's strak gelijk geordend zijn. Een website als Etsy.com doet dat heel mooi en beheerst het strak geordend weergeven van foto's en het tot z'n recht laten komen van items tot in de perfectie. Etsy speelt ook soms heel mooi met de grootte van foto's. Zeer de moeite waard om eens naar te kijken.(Ook naar de CMS voor de gebruikers).

Zoekfunctionaliteit
Ik mis een uitgebreider zoekformulier, waarbij men bijvoorbeeld gericht kan zoeken in lopende veilingen of in afgelopen veilingen, shops, zoeklijsten etc. Dit zou een enorme verbetering betekenen.

Veiling functionaliteit
De weergave normaal en compact werkt heel prettig. Ook het tablad favorieten is een fantastische verbetering. Het is heel prettig, dat men nu in een lijstje kan zien op welke kavels men heeft geboden. Wellicht is het ook een idee om een mijn kavels tabblad toe te voegen. Dan hoeft men als veilingaanbieder niet steeds naar de admin.
 Wat ik hier nog wel sterk mis is een weergave van alleen de foto's in een "grid", zodat men sneller de veilingen kan scannen.
Nu moet men veel scrollen om via de foto's een indruk van de veiling te krijgen.

Afgelopen veilingen
Ik mis een groot gedeelte van de voorgaande veilingen. Hopelijk wordt dat snel hersteld. Dit is namelijk een onmisbaar  onderdeel van de website voor veilingaanbieders. Bovendien zijn de veilingresultaten uitstekende gratis promotie voor Catawiki

Aanmelden als nieuwe veilingaanbieder
Ik mis een algemene duidelijke link cq button voor nieuwe aspirant aanbieders van veilingen op de homepage om zich aan te melden. Ik zie wel na wat zoeken boven iedere specifieke veiling een kleine link. Niet erg duidelijk voor nieuwe veilingaanbieders en bovendien werkt het verwarrend. Als je namelijk nu op veilingen bovenaan klikt en vervolgens op de link zelf verkopen op de veiling komt men notabene bij de stripveiling instructie uit, terwijl men een algemeen verhaal zou mogen verwachten:

Dit werkt naar mijn mening dus heel verwarrend voor nieuwe aspirant aanbieders, die zich willen aanmelden. De meesten willen namelijk een algemeen verhaal lezen en niet iets over strips. 

Overigens vind ik het enorm storend, dat als men bovenaan op veilingen klikt, men dan als eerste de stripveiling ziet. Dit is ook zeer onlogisch. Die stripveiling wordt als het ware opgedrongen terwijl men die keuze als catawiki gebruiker niet heeft gemaakt.
Maar naar dit punt wordt gekeken heb ik inmiddels begrepen.

Zoeklijsten
Ik mis een link op de home pagina naar alle zoeklijsten cq alle gezochte items.
Waar kan ik die vinden?

Actuele veilingen
Waarom worden er maar vier getoond? Dat geeft de indruk dat er maar 4 actuele veilingen zijn, terwijl er natuurlijk veel meer actuele veilingen zijn. 

De vraag is of nieuw in zoeklijsten en duurste en oudste items zo'n prominente plaats nodig hebben op de homepage, als ze nu hebben.
Door de nieuw in zoeklijsten en duurste en oudste items naar de zijbalk (of een andere plaats) te verhuizen (of te verkleinen), zou je ruimte kunnen winnen, waardoor je bovenaan een prominentere plaats kunt inruimen voor alle veilingen. Tenslotte is dat ook steeds meer de "core business" van Catawiki. 
Door alle veilingen (in icoon of foto vorm) op de homepage weer te geven, is is er nog maar 1 klik nodig om naar je favoriete veiling te gaan. Dit vergroot dus de gebruikelijksvriendelijkheid. Nu zijn daar namelijk 2 klikken en gezoek voor nodig als je dit via de veilingen link bovenaan doet.
De (blauwe) veilinglijst op de homepage wordt dan ook overbodig wat weer ruimte oplevert.

(Overigens kijk ik ook zeer uit naar de vernieuwingen die worden geimplementeerd om de kwaliteit van de veilinginvoer te verbeteren)

Website van het jaar
Afgezien van deze kleine puntjes alleen maar vette complimenten voor de fantastische catawiki website. Het is een plezier om door de Catawiki website te navigeren.

Er is dan ook maar één logische kandidaat voor de website van het jaar en dat is natuurlijk Catawiki.

Wordt het niet hoog tijd voor een T- Shirt met de tekst 

"Catawiki blauw past bij jou"   :-)

Catawiki's house style is simply beautiful . The layout is also getting better. Well-chosen colors and fonts that exude professionalism and reliability. The black info field at the bottom of the website also gives more clarity to the website and looks very "slick". The website does indeed look much fresher as a result.
In addition to the old Giro blue (known by the older young people among us), I think "Catawiki blue" will become a household name again :-)

Black Headers on eg home page
The choice of the huge font size (.36 ?) of the big black headers surprised me and is in my opinion "overkill". This is much too large and detracts from the professional appearance of the website. Design-wise it doesn't look good either. Or it must be that Catawiki wants to facilitate the visually impaired among us :-).
This font size is also not consistent with the rest of the website. And therefore gives a restless picture, which is not necessary. A smaller header size of say .22 is big, functional and clear enough. This also simply looks more modern, less loud and more contemporary.

The saying: "less is more" is certainly appropriate here.

Equal size and resolution photos
What also gives a restless picture is the fact that the images on the homepage are of a different size, so that they jump and are sometimes out of focus.

It would look nicer and calmer if at least on the homepage all photos were neatly ordered. A website like Etsy.com does this very well and masters the neatly arranged display of photos and the highlighting of items to perfection. Etsy also sometimes plays nicely with the size of photos. Very worthwhile to take a look at. (Also to the CMS for the users).

Search functionality
I miss a more extensive search form, where you can search in current auctions or in past auctions, shops, search lists, etc. This would be a huge improvement.

Auction functionality
The display normal and compact works very well. The favorites tab is also a fantastic improvement. It is very nice that people can now see in a list on which lots they have bid. It might also be an idea to add a my lots tab . Then, as an auction provider, you do not always have to go to the admin.
What I still miss here is a display of only the photos in a "grid", so that people can scan the auctions faster.
Now one has to scroll a lot to get an impression of the auction through the photos.

Past auctions
I miss a large part of the previous auctions. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. This is an indispensable part of the website for auction providers. In addition, the auction results are excellent free promotion for Catawiki

Register as a new auction provider
I miss a general clear link or button for new aspiring auction providers on the homepage to sign up. After some searching I do see a small link above each specific auction. Not very clear for new auction providers and it is also confusing. If you now click on auctions at the top and then on the link sell yourself at the auction , you will end up with the comic auction instruction, while one should expect a general story:

In my opinion, this is very confusing for new aspiring providers who want to sign up. Most want to read a general story and not something about comics.

Incidentally, I find it extremely disturbing that if you click on auctions at the top, you see the comics auction first. This is also very illogical. That comics auction is, as it were, imposed on you, even though you have not made that choice as a catawiki user.
But I now understand that this point is being looked at.

Search lists
I am missing a link on the home page to all search lists or all searched items .
Where can I find those?

Current auctions
Why are only four shown? This gives the impression that there are only 4 current auctions, while there are of course many more current auctions .

The question is whether new in search lists and most expensive and oldest items need such a prominent place on the homepage, as they have now.
By moving (or shrinking) the new in search lists and most expensive and oldest items to the sidebar (or any other place), you could gain space, giving more prominence to all auctions at the top. After all, that is increasingly also the "core business" of Catawiki.
By displaying all auctions (in icon or photo form) on the homepage, only 1 click is needed to go to your favorite auction. This therefore increases the usability. Now that requires 2 clicks and a search if you do this via the auctions link at the top.
The (blue) auction list on the homepage is therefore superfluous, which in turn frees up space.

(By the way, I am also very much looking forward to the innovations that are being implemented to improve the quality of the auction input)

Site of the Year
Apart from these small points only big compliments for the fantastic catawiki website. It is a pleasure to navigate through the Catawiki website.

I miss a clear link to all shops on the homepage of Catawiki. You first have to scroll all the way down, and then there is a small link to shops in the black bar at the bottom left.

And if you are in a section and you click on all shops, you will first reach Martplaats sections. and not as before with all items for sale from that section.

The search engine is not working properly. Eg The Voronov conspiracy gives no result, not even spelled in another way. Applies to several longer titles.

See previous examples in this thread such as 'castaways': there is a problem with search terms longer than 15 characters. In progress but re-indexing is needed and that will take a while.

In the left column of the search results you can immediately filter on the category and choose Comics. I think you overlooked that? May we make it a bit clearer, I think. Maybe with the term "Filters" on it or something.

Thanks for the compliment. Incidentally, there are still many things to improve, but we think it is a big step forward.

The link to the comic day offer is in the comic section (you have to scroll down a bit). After all, it is a strip day offer and not a blanket offer. You can also subscribe to the daily e-mails regarding the offer, so you will never miss it.
