Well OK, of course we keep it friendly because we are all enthusiasts.

The images of The Beatles Bootlegs are 100% own images. I mixed my own images of the woodstock booklet with existing images, but that's not so bad, is it? It was actually only entered for the auction

@willem scan two have to display the tracks and that is indeed usually the back of an album And with those bootlegs you are lucky if the listed tracks are also on the album they are gems ????

In any case, you can see that it is not just rejected. There are still quite a few doubts in the catalog.

(And yet I find it strange that image 1 of 3679087 has the same shadows as the search query at Google )

O javticket to tide singel is somewhere on the forum a few days ago entered by the auctioneer for or on behalf of the seller. Missed scans of the item? Or better off the net! Datvis wst we have against traders who want to score quickly and cheaply! And I don't drink the good ones who make mistakes like us!

@Dick

Yes, they were there and they have been successfully auctioned to the great satisfaction of the buyers.

I will be even more careful when entering new Catalog items.

@Dick,

that ticket to Ride was also mine, which I had offered for the auction and looked up the item in the catalog as an addition. Of course I supplied my own photos for the auction (no internet scans)

I did indeed receive a request from Ruud to supply new scans and I did that even though I didn't understand anything because was the same single!

From the woodstock booklet I mixed my own images with existing images, but that's not so bad

Usually not, but on Catawiki it is.

That is because we do not include generic items here, but want to record each existing variant separately in the catalog. With our own scans or photos, we know for sure that the item exists and looks exactly like it. We don't have that certainty with images from the net. It can be shopped or cut up. Or it is a pre-release picture that differs from how it eventually ends up in the store. Then texts or logos are missing or they are in a different place than on the real item. That happens very often.

If such images end up in the catalog, ghost variants are created, versions of items that don't exist at all. But avid collectors then go looking for it.

That is why we are always very strict about the origin of the images and we also want a photo of the back of many things.

Hi Willem but T to Ride? I didn't know item was yours, but sorry that entry? Let me say first of all that I also placed some dredge imports, but I don't pick up pictures (I did stereo please please me Uk first. The Beatles box - strereo and mono!)! It was not in the catalog at the time, but for the sale! then that is really not possible! and now the background that light purple r.y.m.? In addition, you brought the auctioneer in a tricky package although he himself participated in it. But the most bad thing about this example is the use of the picture picker! How far do you still come across as credible, we tackled this fairly quickly but as it now stands, reject really! Buy a Printer / scanner (sell two of these items) and scan singles, CD ep etc scans are sharp and fast filling the screen takes little time LPs unfortunately photograph cropping full-screen placement label can be done well with scanner and that takes a little more time, but yes, we just fill a catalog together voluntarily

@Dick,

I still don't understand. I haven't stolen any pictures at all, I say. I took my own photos and indicated the correct release numbers of the record itself and added the catalog item.

Maybe it's about another Ticket to ride.

I will definitely buy a scanner.

Explain what is wrong with the way it is now because I don't think that's the one I entered. I think there are more in there.

I'm going to dive into it today and come back to it tonight.

@Dick

yes, now I see it. Ruud introduced these himself. Then he asked me if I would like to place the back and the A-side of the single. I did so at his request.

I did not interfere at all with the import. But what's wrong with it?

You have now placed your cover on position 3 and you see that it differs from that of the first entry of VeilingmeesterRuud. Or have you placed the back in place 3? That is not entirely clear to me ...

@ Arco

@Dick

I just modified it, 1 minute ago, with the resources I have, the back in image 2 as it should be and a label image in position 3 as it should be and now I will stop. thank you all.

Kind regards and have a nice weekend!

Willem

Those changes look good. Perhaps you have your own scan of the front in spot 1? That would finish it all off.

(Of course it went wrong in the beginning, I think, when an auctioneer entered something he didn't have in his hands; there's nothing you can do about it ...)

Hello all,

The discussion got bogged down in a kind of welles and nothings discussion,

the correct solution to this discussion is the following:

Put everything that SHOULD be rejected in a separate folder that the importers have access to, so that they can adjust it.

This is also a proposal in the TODO lists that can be voted on.

Deleting and re-entering is pointless.

Placing and adjusting in another folder is smarter, less time-consuming and also causes less unrest/frustration among collectors and sellers.

No, no.

:-P

Placing in another folder and adjusting it is smarter, less time-consuming

For administrators that is no less work. Most administrators are already very reluctant to reject them and give importers the opportunity to improve their input first. But if importers do not comply with such a request , then it will stop at any given time just click.

In addition, placing it in a separate folder does not offer a solution for entering the wrong section. You don't really think administrators are going to move all those items, do you? They prefer to put their time in something other than paying lip service to sloppy auction providers who are only interested in monetary gain (yes, I generalize! Is not neat of me!) Who often introduce it 'because you have to', because that is at the moment for the most part the group of wrong importers, believe me.

No ... that is what the auctioneers should move, I think. By the way, completely decoupling the auction from the catalog seems to me to be a much better and cheaper solution.

How about all the new folders that come in Catawiki and you have to check them to see if there are no duplicates in them, so you lose a lot of time.

I'm not talking about any kind items, Ivo. With all items you have to check if they are not duplicate, so there is no additional work.

I assume that the comic pins example is immediately rejected become, as soon as a book manager starts looking at it. I hope in time for the record auction, because my suspicion is that it will be auctioned there (why do you have a book auction when you can put them with the records;))
