Daar los je het probleem mee op dat historie niet specifiek gekoppeld is aan drama. Drama is een opzichzelfstaand genre. Historie ook. Het is heel goed mogelijk om een uitgebreide discussie te voeren over wat een genre is en wat een thema. Maar daar gaat het nu niet om. IMDB hanteert Genres en Plot Keywords. Dat zou Last Dodo ook kunnen doen maar dat is voorlopig niet zo.
Het los koppelen van "Historisch Drama" in Historie en Drama lost dus op dat je beide genres/thema's los kunt kiezen in combinatie met andere genres/thema's. Aansluiting zoeken bij de logica van IMDB lijkt mij niet zo stom. Waarom moet het hier anders? Kijk eens naar mijn recente invoer #9867303 Volgens IMDB de genres: Documentary (eigenlijk een thema), biography, crime, history en War.
Het zou fijn zijn als binnen LD deze afzonderlijke genres/thema's ingebracht kunnen worden. In de meeste gevallen is dat zo behalve bij "Historisch Drama" omdat hier twee genres samen zijn gevoegd. Los is handiger in plaats van alle mogelijke combi's op te nemen. Zoals bij bovengenoemd voorbeelden van History of the World en Memories of 1972 waar comedy/documentaire en historie samen gaan. Als historie afzonderlijk te kiezen is kun je als het ware zelf de combinatie maken door alle afzonderlijke genres/thema's te selecteren. Ik weet echt niet hoe ik dit duidelijker moet uitleggen.

That solves the problem that history is not specifically linked to drama. Drama is a genre in its own right. History too. It is quite possible to have an extensive discussion about what constitutes a genre and what constitutes a theme. But that's not the point now. IMDB uses Genres and Plot Keywords. Last Dodo could do that too, but that is not the case for the time being.
So separating "Historical Drama" in History and Drama resolves the fact that you can choose both genres/themes separately in combination with other genres/themes. Seeking alignment with IMDB's logic doesn't seem so stupid to me. Why should it be different here? Take a look at my recent entry #9867303 According to IMDB the genres: Documentary (actually a theme), biography, crime, history and War.
It would be nice if these separate genres/themes could be introduced within LD. In most cases, this is the case, except for "Historical Drama" because two genres have been merged here. Loose is more convenient instead of including all possible combinations. Like the above examples of History of the World and Memories of 1972 where comedy/documentary and history go together. If history can be selected separately, you can, as it were, make the combination yourself by selecting all separate genres/themes. I really don't know how to explain this more clearly.

Soms loop ik er tegenaan dat ik bepaalde info niet goed kwijt kan. Het gaat dan om een extended edition en of restoration edition. In tegenstelling tot een director's edition zijn deze opties (nog) niet opgenomen. Is het een idee deze toe te voegen aan uitvoering? Nu neem ik het op bij info maar zo kan ik er niet op sorteren. Is hier al eens over nagedacht?

Als er staat 16:9 / 1.6:1 zou ik het liefste beide willen kunnen invoeren. 16:9 (het meest vermelde formaat) is nu verwijderd uit de keuzelijst.
Het probleem is dat de aliassen (nog) niet worden vermeld in de dropdownlijst.
Als oplossing hiervoor zijn de beeldformaten nu:

Ik zou waargebeurd ook als "extra genre" toevoegen en niet als subgenre. Het is tenslotte een waargebeurd drama
I would also add true as an "additional genre" and not a subgenre. After all, it is a true drama
Waarom is er nog steeds geen veld voor subgenre? B.V. drama is hoofdgenre en oa waargebeurd is een subgenre.
Why is there still no subgenre field? BV drama is the main genre and, among other things, true events is a subgenre.
