The S-type, or ‘Big Bedford’, was produced from 1950 to 1960 and created a new class of goods vehicles – four wheelers capable of carrying 7 tons. A wide variety of wheelbase, power plant and body type combinations were offered, and the tanker bodies carried petroleum products and other bulk liquid loads. A huge selection of tanks were supplied by firms such as Charles Roberts of Horbury Junction, and The Yorkshire Engineering & Welding Co. Non-limited Edition
