The new low drag sporty hatchback Rover SDI (3500) with its 155 BHP V8 engine was a winner from day one and was said to be under priced when compared to other cars of its class. The launch of the Series II in 1982, with improvement and new models, made the SDI a flagship car within the Police force. It is shown here in Metropolitan livery.
