Hallo,
Hoever moet men dit hier doorvoeren? Kleurverschillen ?, ...
Herman.
Hello,
I am supplementing the beer coasters section with a collection (especially series) from my childhood. I encounter certain problems here:
1. Sometimes coasters with the same imprint differ in size, but few mention the dimensions when entering the data. Consider these as the same item?
2. I have put differences - what I have called variations - together under one item with different images (see Stella Artois, folklore, conservation, ...). This seems good to quickly see the differences, but does the "real beer coaster collector" prefer to split this up? How far should this be carried out here? Color differences?, ...
With the comics, for example, it is not always easy to find the differences!
3. Split type into single-sided and double-sided printing (sometimes the back is different!)? Round corners, sharp corners, ...?
PS .: In the forum I read the discussion about the term "beer mat" and "underlay" or "coaster". The funniest was the term "mineral water mat". This inspired me to introduce the Meudon series, but I didn't use this as the type name, despite the temptation!
4. I try to do the naming in such a way that the items of a series are nicely together in the overview. But this is sometimes changed. What is the standard? Sometimes I also use numbers, although they are not on the felt pads to order them.
For example: "Monument year: No. 01: ..." I personally think is better than "1975 Monument year ..." (the literal inscription)
Herman.

Herman
With regard to point 4, I agree with you, if this brings it together in the overview, then it remains clear. I also rolled into it a bit. If you have any suggestions that you think could be changed, please let René or Marco know.
Hallo,
Leen
Hello,
In order to keep the series together, it is good to start the title with the same word eg Old professions, Castle year, Olympic games followed by the text on the card.
What I don't like is that Stella Artois has cards with Monuments 03 and Monuments 11. According to my catalog, Bruges comes in 12th place. The series consists of 55 cards. Wouldn't it be better to simply state the place name after Monuments. They will then come in a nice alphabetical sequence.
Borrow
Leen,
Borrow,
Agree with you, have removed the numbers, after all, are not mentioned on the felt pad.

I am just new to this site and have therefore not entered anything yet, but am missing an item about exchanging.
Undoubtedly there are collectors who have double felt pads and instead of putting them up for sale, we can also trade. Right?
How and what are your findings?
P.S. How do you store your collection? On the wall, in boxes, in insert sleeves, etc ..
Sieto,

Sieto,
Exchanging on Catawiki has already been the subject of many discussions, does not want to happen
At the moment I keep everything in boxes, and just start entering, there can't be enough in there.

Sieto,
Mvg,
Eddy
Sieto,
I have my floppy & amp; floppy boxes, he can't believe how easily the square and rectangular regular format fit in there. I don't mean those boxes for 10 diskettes, but the format for 100 or more pieces.
Also easy to find on junk boxes :), no one uses floppies or diskettes any more
Mvg,
Eddy
About exchanges :), it might not be interesting to show the number of pieces someone has ?? Can be interesting if you are looking for something yourself and then can check if someone else has multiple copies ... they will usually also be able to use something :)
Groetjesss
Just new and busy familiarizing myself with catawiki.
Entering it takes a lot of time and it is not always clear to me under which name I should enter a felt. especially the german breweries have many names on a felt pad. Or beer brands that belong to another brewery such as Buckler. Pfff difficult.
Can also come up with a topic that it could fall under, but consciously choose not to always do that to keep it clear.
(ps how do I get the front and back of a collection item without having to enter 2 x? 2nd photo or something?)
recently heard about a list of all Grolsch felts out there with numbers in front of it for easier checking and searching. Does anyone know where I can find it?
Greetings
Hallo,
Henk
Hello,
I am also updating my collection and inserting it into Catawiki.
With every beer mat that I find on the site, I check if everything is correct.
But what I wonder?
What do we understand by COUNTRY?
Where the beer mat was released or the country of the beer type?
Because with some beer coasters it is not always clear.
I am thinking of Kronenbourg, nl France, but often also Dutch text .
Henk
We assume which country it comes from. So eg Heineken with Spanish text comes from Spain
Personally, I find this the most difficult to fill in.
Because, for example, French and Dutch can come from 2 different countries.
Bij twijfel vul je niks in.
When in doubt, don't enter anything.

Of zoals bijvoorbeeld 1881355).
Prachtige verzameling!
And don't forget the dimensions, because there are quite a few variants! ;)
For round felt pads you have to fill in the diameter and for other shapes length x width (also for square ones, because that is also clear). The width can also be read as the height, as some call it. Use the largest size for multiple sizes (such as the holly-shaped Kronenbourg, assume the greatest height and length. Or such as 1881355).
And well, you can't help it that your country is multilingual. is;), so you will only know the origin and use of a French felt if you got it there yourself or it is already described somewhere. And if you don't know, leave that field empty.
So far it looks good! Beautiful collection!
I sometimes find it unfortunate that it is not always certain with some imported felt pads whether they have double-sided or blank back.
Perhaps it is an obligation to make (item printed)?
As a part, it has much more value than eg country, theme, ...
You mean that the choice is made one-sided or two-sided mandatory?
Indeed, because I notice that many of these have not been filled in.
I'm now checking everything from apollinaris that I have again and adjusting where necessary. And in many cases this is not set.
With dimensions you can sometimes still see a small difference, for example 9.8 or 9.9 and that will usually have to do with wear and age.
But with single or double sided there is a big difference to keep track of your collection.
Ik ga het voorstellen
I'm going to introduce

Please note that CataWiki does not distinguish between double printed and single printed felt pads! You cannot (yet) say at CataWiki that if you have a single-sided printed felt, it should not have the image of the back. That will always be a bare back, but that makes it clearer.
