Hello Everybody,
I would be grateful if anybody could provide me with any comments or suggestions about a collection of trading cards which I own.

This is my first time writing to LastDodo and I am not sure where to begin. First of all, I am in London, Canada and I am not a collector or trader.

I have an album which was started by a young person in the Kortrijk, and Meulebeke (Belgium) area, probably around 1898. The album measures 32.5 cm by 30.0 cm. It is very thick and weighs approximately 3.8 kg. There are 149 pages in this album which have trading cards from various companies pasted on to them. A short list of these cards would include: Chocolat Suchard, Cacao Grootes, Van Leckwyck, L'Amidon Remy, DeBeukelaer, Chocolat Payraud and other products as well.

There are several hundred and perhaps as many as a thousand cards in this album.

The cards appear to be in fair condition although the album itself is in poor shape. Also, the cards have been pasted to the pages so, with the exception of a few that have come loose, I cannot see what is on the back sides of these cards.

I would be happy to post photos of these cards, at your request, and if the LastDodo site permits it.

I doubt that there is any interest in Canada for this kind of collection and I want to explore the opportunity (if any) to sell them in Europe - presumably Belgium.

Can anybody offer any suggestions as to where I might even begin my search?

Thank you all in advance.

Matala
You probably mean Album pictures and not Tradingcards.
Here are examples:
Cacoa Grootes
Chocolat Suchard
Amidon Remy

Collection albums are here:
Chocolat Suchard
De Beaukelaere
Etc.

Sir: Thanks very much for this information. The album pictures I have are all very much older than any of the ones seen on either of the sites for which you sent me the links. Still, it's helpful to know where to look.
As for the second part of my question, can you suggest how I might offer this, or other items I have for sale through LastDodo?  For example, I also have five postcards that were sent between 1907 and 1921. Three were sent from France and two from Belgium. They have the postage stamps and post-marks intact and easily readable, and they are all addressed to the same individual.
Thank you again.
