Munten/VERY rare re-strike of a 1573 Demi Teston France

 

Hello people,

I stumbled upon this very rare coind and I cannot, absolutely not, find any information about it. The only picture I get is a Wikimedia photo which shows the coin but there is nothing about this rare re-strike.

Let me give you the details:

Nomination: Demi Teston

Front: Charles IX King of France 1573

Revers: Crowned Shield with two times a crowned letter C

Weight: 312,96 gr.

Material: 925/1000 Sterling Silver

Mint: Monnaie de Paris

Diameter: 63mm

Thickness: 10mm (4x Piefort)

On the side of the coin are the letters "VERAE RELIGIONIS ASSERTORI" and some markings that show that this is a 1970 re-strike, the limited number and the silver privy mark

Any information about value and scarcety are very welcome.

Ik kwam deze zeer zeldzame munt tegen en ik kan er absoluut geen informatie over vinden. De enige foto die ik krijg is een Wikimedia-foto waarop de munt te zien is, maar er is niets over deze zeldzame herslag.

Op de zijkant van de munt staan de letters "VERAE RELIGIONIS ASSERTORI" en enkele markeringen die laten zien dat dit een re-strike uit 1970 is, het beperkte aantal en het zilveren keurmerk

Dutchman You said that the coin came from the Monnaie de Paris mint. They have a website where you can contact them. I don't see how asking the source of the coin for a question about it doesn't make sense.
