Munten/I'm not sure what I have!

I hope someone put there can point me in the right direction! This was on my late mother-in-laws coin collection along with other foreign currency coins. Since she was only interested in American coins  she never bothered to investigate this coin. How do I go about authentication? We took to a jeweler an the weight and composition match, but local coin shops are untrustworthy. I would appreciate someone who knows what they're talking about.

Ik hoop dat iemand me in de goede richting kan wijzen! Dit stond op de muntenverzameling van mijn overleden schoonmoeder, samen met andere munten in vreemde valuta. Omdat ze alleen geïnteresseerd was in Amerikaanse munten, heeft ze nooit de moeite genomen om deze munt te onderzoeken. Hoe ga ik om met authenticatie? We gingen naar een juwelier en kwamen overeen met het gewicht en de samenstelling, maar lokale muntwinkels zijn onbetrouwbaar. Ik zou iemand waarderen die weet waar hij het over heeft.
