It must be available in the forum but ... Under different headings and with different keywords I have tried to find an answer but unfortunately it doesn't work. Yesterday I added a book, which was already in the catalog, to my own collection.
Here are two images: front and back. I want to take these with me to my own collection. Then I want to add my own image as a third. An image of print / year where it can also be seen that it is signed by the author.
I seem to remember that I was able to click on add images to my own collection (check boxes) but I can no longer find that. Adding the third is not a problem, it is about adding existing images automatically. The added image is probably your own input instead of including it in your own collection.

Wilco,

Wilco,
For stamps you go to the item in your collection, and then you see what you can do with it (change condition, move to, remove from collection, or add your own images). I suppose it works that way in the other categories too:
1. Via the detail to the item in your own collection (or 'For Sale' list):
2. Personal fields of your own copy (including your own images):

Raoul,
Thank you for the explanation. I was too impatient. When entering you will initially be given the option to choose a file (from your own images) but not to add the images that belong to the item. Now I have not chosen any images and only added the third photo and text later in my own copy. If I now go to my own copy, I see in my collection the book with the images as they are on the site. When I go to my own copy, only the third photo is there. In principle I can see all three photos, but it remains strange that this is not visible at the same time. But it is in it! If necessary, if there are options for this at a later stage, I can still merge them. Thank you

It is not entirely clear to me what exactly you mean by: "but not to include the images associated with the item".
Any item you have in your collection stops, automatically takes the images from the catalog. You have the option to add up to 3 of your own images.

Klopt helemaal.

Completely correct. However, I could not see that the images were included when I clicked on my own copy. Then there were only those options at the bottom to add the photos. That is why it seems as if there are no images with my own copy. I have now re-added it. When I scroll over my collection I see the pictures of the book. If I then click on that book, the third photo plus comments, added by me, will appear. So at the top of the photo plus comments of my own copy and below that the catalog data with the first two (catalog) images.
It seemed strange to me because then I get to see the third image first and the other (the first) two only when I scroll down. But now it is clear to me how to read it.

Correct. But @wilcovan wrote:

Here are two images: front and back. I want to take these with me to my own collection.
It seems to me that he wants to take over the two existing photos to his own collection and then only want to add the third himself.
Taking over by means of a checkbox is only possible when adding of an item.
