Bij het opvoeren van een nieuw item moet ook iets ingevuld worden bij: Land.
Ik twijfel elke keer weer wat ik daar moet invullen.
Vul ik het land in waar de puzzel vandaan komt? of het land waar de afbeelding gesitueerd is. Ik vermoed het eerste.
Iemand een suggestie ?
When entering a new item, something must also be filled in at: Country.
Every time I doubt what to enter there.
I enter the country where the puzzle comes from? or the country where the image is located. I suspect the former.

Ik heb dit item (land) eerder aangesneden. Bij het toevoegen van puzzels moet ook het land van herkomst worden vermeld. Dat is me duidelijk. Veel puzzels komen uit Nederland of Engeland. Daarnaast komen meerdere puzzels uit Duitsland en Amerika.
Ik schrijf in het Nederlands. Bij het vermelden van Nederland als land van herkomst is dat dus gemakkelijk.
Anders ligt dat bij puzzels met het opschrift:
'Made in England' of
'Made in the U.S.A.' of
'Made in 'Western-Germany' of
'Produit de France'
Ik heb de neiging die opschriften te vertalen naar het Nederlands. Maar helemaal logisch voelt het niet omdat alles aan de omschrijving van de puzzle (!) vaak ook in de taal van land van herkomst is.
Wat zou hier wellicht een goede uniforme werkwijze voor kunnen zijn?
I have broached this item (country) before. When adding puzzles, the country of origin must also be stated. That is clear to me. Many puzzles come from the Netherlands or England. In addition, several puzzles come from Germany and America.

This is different with puzzles with the caption:

I tend to translate those inscriptions into Dutch. But it doesn't feel completely logical because everything about the description of the puzzle (!) Is often also in the language of the country of origin.
What could possibly be a good uniform method for this?
Gewoon de Nederlandse namen aanhouden als je op het .nl-domein van Catawiki zit, anders komen de puzzels uit een bepaald land niet bij elkaar te staan. Engelstalige gebruikers zien de landen in hun eigen taal. Zelfde geldt voor Franstaligen en Duitstaligen. Waar dat niet zo is, kan een beheerder dat regelen.
Just keep the Dutch names when you are on the .nl domain of Catawiki, otherwise the puzzles from a certain country will not match. English-speaking users see the countries in their own language. The same applies to French and German speakers. Where this is not the case, an administrator can arrange this.
Arco, bedankt voor de snelle reactie. Kan ik dan gewoon West-Duitsland schrijven. Is het Amerika of Verenigde Staten van Amerika. Misschien wat overvraagd maar voor de uniformiteit wel prettig het vast te leggen.

West-Duitsland bestaat niet meer, dus gewoon Duitsland. En wij gebruiken Verenigde Staten van Amerika.
West Germany no longer exists, so just Germany. And we use United States of America.

Deelgebied Landen is hier niet terug te vinden en het is voor een invoerder niet duidelijk welke landen gebruikelijk zijn. Het zou praktischer zijn als Landen aan dit rijtje zou worden toegevoegd. Is dat mogelijk met de beschikbare middelen? Verder is er, na drie karakters, geen automatische herkenning in het veld Land.
Ook op de beheerpagina is het deelgebied Landen niet op te roepen. Enige opschoning of samenvoeging is hierdoor niet mogelijk.

The Countries sub-area cannot be found here and it is not clear to an importer which countries are customary. It would be more practical if Countries were to be added to this list. Is that possible with the available resources? Furthermore, after three characters, there is no automatic recognition in the Country field.
The Countries sub-area cannot be called up on the administration page either. This means that any cleaning or merging is not possible.
Ai! Dan hebben ze daar vroeger dezelfde fout gemaakt als bij bijvoorbeeld Speldjes. Kan ik niks mee, dus moet op de lijst.
