The term 'personal stamps' is confusing, because it refers to both the stamps with the standard image of the postal service (actually these are regular issues, for everyone for sale) and stamps that are created by collectors / users based on of the frame.
I therefore propose to call the last category “Personalized” stamps. This makes the distinction clearer for the collector.
Personal stamps belong in the philatelic category Private issue . Anyone can have such stamps made for any subject, even family photos.
According to my personal feeling, they do not really belong in the public sphere but more in the private sphere. Soon we will have millions of stamps with fun children's heads etc.
Can a separate collection group be created away from the stamp group for this? It would be easier to organize and less confusing.
I agree with this. Within the NVPH catalog committee we also have great difficulty with these stamps. The problem mainly lies in the intermediate forms, the print runs produced in RDD that are put into circulation together with TNT post, (also often in the Collect publications) such as the 1950s, the butterflies, the personal books. We should certainly not fully include the "private" stamps as they can be made by anyone. On the other hand, such a creation can be fun for the theme scientist. The problem is that these stamps are offered as 'exclusive' while anyone can (re) make them, at least as long as the same frames are available.
It kind of reminds me of the proliferation we've seen with the phone cards and everyone else knows how that ended.
In any case, I want a clear separation so that the personal stamps (the fill-in variants) will not be visible in the normal results. So really as a separate species. The 'standard' personal stamps will then fall in the normal lists, as they are also included in the emission program. The personified stamps can be isolated, for example, by making the entrance personalized stamps in addition to the stamps (and soon also series) and collecting them there.
.. By the way, they are not really "private expenses" because they do have postage validity. So you could say: TNT outputs the frame, which is filled in privately. But it gets really confusing when the TNT in its magazines announces Donald Duck stamps based on the stamp frame (as it does now). In the past, new stamps simply appeared in the Government Gazette - that was much clearer, now we are handed over to the whims of the marketing department ...
According to the Official Belgian Stamp Catalog the following is defined:
Private Issues (PR) : All issues with genuine stamps overprinted by private organisations. Usually retaining their postage validity and sold for the benefit of charities.
Erinnofelia (E) , on the other hand, includes stamp issues from non-official organizations and have NO postage validity.
The Belgian Private stamps are not the same as the Dutch "personal stamps". For example, the printing (OR in one pass, OR an additional print with an inkjet printer and not an OVERprint) is done simply by TNT . Nor is the nominal value changed or supplemented. TNT then also sells many issues through its own channels. Consider, for example, the Donald Duck stamp, the European Championship stamps with football players, or the serious request Christmas stamp.
In other words: TNT controls the entire production process, the nominal value is the same, the stamps have normal postage value, the base (frame) has been introduced as such and is part of the emission program (with fixed image). In many cases, TNT is also just a distributor.
The Belgian Private stamps can be compared with the stamps of the Zaanse city post PTT stamps privately overprinted (by the way very controversial manufacturing).
Nowadays Belgium also has personalized issues, for example Tintin, but in my opinion these are also not covered by private issues in Belgium.
With a private issue, the nominal value is often changed or supplemented, in any case, an existing one. postage stamp slightly added by others than the postal service.
We slowly see the image emerging that TNT is stretching the official emission prigram with all kinds of personal stamps. The 1950s, the butterfly series, the Brinkman stamps, Donald Duck and Dikkie Dik. The difference with sayeks from the normal program is vague. The serious request Christmas stamp (semi-issue) was at all counters. The personal Christmas stamp included in the issue program was only for sale through the Collectclub. DAF of the 50s against nominal; at the counters (simply sold to post more postage), the rest of the series sold with premium on subscription.
In the NVPH we only have the first stamps of these series included. They were not in the annual sets, nor are they in the supplements.
With the above it would be a consideration to create a subsection of personal stamps, which again contains a subdivision in the roto-print stamps that have been made in larger editions and were partly sold by TNT and the inkjet stamps where the image is purely private initiative.
It remains a matter about which much discussion is possible. But a distinction makes it easier for the average collector to follow a line. Those who like it collect everything (but never know how to get it complete), those who do not like it are limited to the TNT issues, with or without the emissions not included in the issue. - program are included and can only be purchased for a substantial bonus.
By the way, I will go all the way with multipla to make it a separate section (only there will be two) and this will also happen soon. Otherwise we will get a Netherlands collection 2009 with 7,456 different stamps or more… .......
I couldn't have said it better. I endorse the idea of creating a separate collection section for private stamps, in addition to regular stamps or as a separate collector's item.
We are already two like-minded people anyway.
Mvgr Opa Gerrit
I fully agree with the above, these stamps must be placed separately outside the regular collection. Then I no longer have to see these [also] bad private photos.
But also note that it has still not been realized.
Mvgr Grandpa Gerrit
Premium of Beurszegel)
I will soon discuss with the sub-manager how we can give better shape to this. However, a new fact is known to me, which makes me think that we will not be able to come up with a final set-up until later in the year. Unfortunately I can't reveal anything about this yet.
What I can say is that there must be a clear scheduling:
- The regular issues in RDD, which are referred to as personal stamps in the issue program, but are not at all. (Two of these stamps have never been personalized based on the edge)
I think we should get rid of the word 'Personal Stamps' altogether to avoid confusion. (Concerns stamps such as the Kuyt stamp which, for example, must be renamed into an occasional stamp)
These are the stamps that also fall into the normal numbering system.
These are in fact all stamps that have been available for nominal at postal points.
- The other editions produced in RDD such as the TNT series and premiums. These must be given a number and sub-number that is attached to the base seal. At the subnumber a subdivision by category (eg Premium or Fair stamp)
- The what I like to refer to as 'personalized' stamps that are often made in very small quantities by private individuals and companies. Again, a sub-number attached to the base number, but that will never really be chronological.
Only the first type (so say the border with the standard image) must be included in the basic selection, the two other groups must be available as a group, but not by default.
In view of some developments, I would therefore like to pause here for a moment, but I do want to see whether the personal stamps types 2 and 3 can be separated quickly.

It doesn't hurt to collect more responses on this topic. I endorse the above statement to create a separate collection section for private stamps, in addition to regular stamps or as a separate collector's item.
That make three like-minded people.
Micho Rooseboom
Hello everyone and guidance
I want to put the personal stamp discussion back on the agenda.
A few things would be decided and a divorce would take place at the end of the year? The year 2011 has already passed.
As far as I can see, there is no optimal solution yet.
I fully understand that the personal stamps are excluded from the regular data.
But I want to add to this.
I think that the personal stamps, which fall under the normal data, should also be visible with the special personal stamps. This is currently not the case.
This is technically possible. You only need to make a change manually.
The user type: to be filled in with description "" personal stamps ""
I've tested this and it works. However, this is not accepted by the administrators. This may be for reasons related to possible changes in the future.
I would like an answer from the leadership of this forum.
Micho Rooseboom
Het blijft wel erg stil !
Micho
It remains very quiet!
Micho
Micho Rooseboom
It will remain on the agenda and it will remain current.
Will we get a split from "personal stamps" "and will the personal stamps be included from the regular stamps?

@Micho,
@Micho,
Your question is clear, honest and not too difficult why you don't get an answer after asking 3 times, I don't know,
ps do they already have personal stamps at 'bund'?
Micho Rooseboom
Harry het overzicht wordt toegezonden. Een bestand in exel.
A reasonable overview has now been submitted for personal stamps. Unfortunately, it is not yet perfect. More work needs to be done.
But the year 2012, 2011 and 2010 is already reasonable.
Sincerely,
Micho Rooseboom
Harry the overview is sent. A file in exel.

Micho,
Micho,
Are you now so frustrated that no one in the leadership responds that you just communicate with your make-up friend 'Harry' ???

Micho is in contact with the manager of the Netherlands (Harry) about a system to organize the personal stamps. If the communication is partly about the forum, it looks strange, but it is nothing wrong with Micho's condition.

@Postmaster,
@Postmaster,
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh am I was already worried, we have to keep an eye on each other in the forum ;-)
Sinbad
Mijn gezicht is ervan verkleurd.
Micho Rooseboom

Take a look at the personal stamps for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012.
A system was introduced into this and that could be a good step in the right direction.
Frustrated ?, No, I worked in my daughter's yard today. My face is discolored. The sun was lovely.
If I would be frustrated by the stamps I will continue to work in the garden and you will not see me on the forum again.
I'm glad to see you watching me. But my wife already does that.
Give it up.
Sincerely,
Micho Rooseboom
Er zijn weer ruim 100 persoonlijke zegels toegevoegd.
More than 100 personal stamps have been added.
Searching for recent 'regular' stamps is no longer an issue with all the personal ones in between.
These really need to be separated from regular issues, otherwise the end is lost with all the personal stamps that people make and end up here in the catalog.

If you select the franking usage type, the personal stamps are gone.
Johan
Jij hebt 100 % gelijk.
Dus jou probleem is opgelost.
Micho Rooseboom
Johan
You are 100% right. This is also the discussion.
Postmaster also indicates how you can exclude the personal stamps.
So your problem is solved.
But those who want to see all personal seals will not see them all and that is annoying
Stamps issued via the normal cirquit (personal stamps) do not appear on the overview and that is what the discussion is about.
This has yet to be resolved.
