Charkhari is a little town in India. It was one of the “Princely States”, and is situated in central India. Presently it is part of Uttar Pradesh.
The first postage stamps from 1894 and 1904 can be distinguished, as they differ in details of the face value figures.
The succeeding stamps differ in the positioning of the swords. Either the left sword is on the right sword, or the right one is on the left.
The 1931 series is very common, as large quantities were dumped on the market and usually are cancelled-to-order. They come with perforations 11, 11,5 and 12, or compound.
